Whats the point of the opening roof?

Be different...saftey, easy access out if I am on my side!!! This is Class1 inspired race technology being applied to the SXS for the first time!!!




It also makes for good sponsorship exposure!!! LOL


its either going to be a cool idea or a really bad idea but I figure it was worth the shot! It was my idea, lots tried to talk me out of it but I still think its going to be sick!

Thats different....good thing you have a radio system.....cause that thing is going to have some harmonics to it. We had to add twice as many tab as what the original set up had to keep it quiet....Sweet place for a big phat LOGO

lol...yeah I am already anticipating the rattling of aluminum so my plan is after powdercoat to add a vinyl lining to all the interior sides of the tins and then add a foam strip to all the edges. That should kill most of the "harmonics!" LOL

Sam is also adding some bracing to the roof hatch to keep it steady to keep it from flexing during HIGH rates of speed!! LOL

here is where I stole my idea from, of course these are Sam's team cars so he knew how to pull this off!!

i vinyled my roof and side panels... they are much more solid now

So the roof and panels are about 98% complete. Just a little work ont he latches for the roof hatch.....I will take and post more pics tommorow.

yes weller 720...I will be doing it as soon as I recover some funds...hopefully will have it sent off in the next 30 days....
