WORCS #7 Glen Helen

HEY RYAN! Nobody ever believes me in here....maybe you can help me out. haha I try not to get to caught up in the negative. Welcome!
-Brandy and Beau -mostly Brandy ;) but you knew that.

I talked with a very seasoned racer and he told me Beau can flat out drive. Watch the video posted above and listen to the motor rev on Beau's car vs the car filming. I heard you were running down the hill wide open and then blasting through the burm. I think you can see by the video below he knows how to handle just about every kind of BIKE, QUAD or UTV....

If you dont think it is legal then protest him, then you will see just how good Beau is with a stock motor.

O

All starts are done off of points standings for the current year of racing for their class. Each # of utvs in a row is done diferently at each track for safty. Because can't have 20 utvs going into the first turn without getting someone hurt. People tried to move up a line at glen helen after being told which line to be on. Before the race started all racers were checked and put on the right line. Also the lines are all time corected so if you start on the 2nd row 30 seconds behind the 1st row and you finish with in 30 seconds of someone that was on the first row and you are behind them at the finish you beat them.

Im not familiar with anyones names at worcs but im sure your referring to me trying to move up a row? I did what I was supposed to, asked the official, and he told me row 1. I had no idea it was by points so I gladly lined up.

I go to the worcs series to have fun and unfortunately didnt have a very good experience at all.

Id like to thank Mark Holz from Holzracingproducts.com for building me a kick ass car thats perfect for that kind of racing, unfortunately I broke an axle half way through...

Congrats on the win Beau!

All we can do is what they say. RJ it was great to meet you this weekend and hope too see you out there again.

Beau can race about any stock UTV and spank you guys! I think he might know what he's doing?

If you guys are referring to the video from elkiddo on the top of pg 6, thats not beaus xp. He started on row 1, not row 3.

Thats me, in the red xp to the right of the guy filming that got the hole shot from row 3.

1st off I'm really sorry you didn't have a good experience at worcs. I hope you can make it to as many as you can to see how much fun they really can be. You are a great driver and after seeing you race their isn't anybody really that can say other wise. The comment wasent only directed to just you. There were many that just didn't know how it worked so they felt cheeted. Just letting everyone know how it works sorry for the confusion.

Ryan Piplic

Sorry about the axle happens to a lot of people. Me included payette id :(

Dude you forgot to tell them about the extra 10 hp you got from the stickers you put on it :)... :)

Sorry to let everyone down but it is stock and beau just has real tallent! But he should get a better cage on that rzr just to be a little safer.

Agreed on the cage.Dont see many bike racers racing quads also.He definitely has mad skills.

Beau is a PRO quad racer, and hauls the mail. IMO, someone who is that fast on a quad knows how to push a 4-wheeled machine to it's absolute limits, and does it on a regular basis. To transfer that ability to a UTV is pretty fluid - there are SO many similarities to racing a quad - with just a few exceptions (weight and not being able to move it in the air with your body). I'm sure all of the riding ability that makes Beau so incredibly fast on a quad transfer right on over to his XP, so it's no surprise to anyone who has watched Beau race in the Pro ATV class that he's fast in his XP, too. Not to mention, the XP is just plain fast anyway. Good combination of driver and machine! ;)

As an ex dirtbike and quad rider I completely agree.

Somebody on this site needs to step up and sponsor the guy! If you want some podium exposure,Build the guy a cage and let him get some...

ISA ALERT:This guy was driving with stock suspension and factory doors only!
DSC_0642-1.jpg

His factory doors where opening while he was racing and bucking, I was behind him until he put it on it's side and his hand got stuck under the cage. Trip to the hospital and OUT of the race. This could be prevented and you wouldbe able to still finish the race with the proper equipment.
If he had PRP window nets and doors that don't open he would have been just fine in a roll over and continue on.

Maybe they could require wrist restraints? That's what we used in the RRL back in the day (when we all raced stock Rhinos) - super cheap and they did the job of keeping your hands in if you rolled it. (Window nets can be hard to fit onto stock cages, and they are a lot more expensive to order/install.) I think a pair of these cost me around $22?

PS - WORCS is one of my all-time favorite organizations to race with - top notch people - they run a professional weekend, and the racers are a great bunch of riders! I need to get myself back to a WORCS race soon!!

I THINK THESE RESTRAINTS SHOULD WORK FOR THE LEGP. I KNOW THEY REQUIRE WINDOW NETS BUT THESE WOULD WORK WITH THE NETS.

If they are running nets, then the restraints aren't needed. The wrist restraints are just a less expensive way to keep hands in if you roll. Running both would be redundant - and a pain in the butt - lol!

10-4. WHEN WE RACED DESERT SUPERLITES IN THE 80s & 90s WE HAD NETS & RESTRAINTS.
