Yup...just wondering Brian. No spite involved. Frenchy and I have had many conversations about where the cash goes. No spite involved. That's just spiteful talk. SMH
Exactly what I've been saying. Great post bud!Legally for the rules, The ECU will have to a claimer or there will have to ECU's provided by BITD that get supplied before the race and collected after the race.
That is gonna be super lame. But there is no other way to police that.
But this topic started with a discussion of some engine builder or racers thinking the Top 5 guys are cheating because they can't keep up with them. And from the guys who have won the last few races on Polaris powered cars, Most have said they are running stock engines. So it seems like more winning drivers are winning with Stock engines. So engine builders and racer who have spent lots of money on big fancy engines think its more likely others are cheating then the fact they might not have the skill, courage or equipment to drive like the big boys.
I don't think anybody is cheating in this class and Horsepower does not win the race in these events.
I thought Justin Loftin raced an unlimited class one? Not a 100 hp side by side with a cvt.Ok so horse power does not win races, tell that to Justin loftin.
The tech issue is still an issue safety tech is not happening properly when you can race a BITD race with a stock fuel cell.
Or basically a stock rzr for that matter.
And before you say that isn't happening. It happened at parker and at laughlin.
All I keep hearing from you, is your motors don't win races. So instead of you guys stepping your game up, you want everyone to cater to you. To make y'all sleep better at night. All the top 5 teams run stock motors or close to stock. Probably less than 100 HP to the wheels in all honesty. HP in side by sides don't win races. Plain and simple. If you can't keep a belt, transmission, CV's, or any of the other components required to keep the UTV moving what does 200 HP get you? I'll tell you a 200 HP boat anchor.Your right but I keep hearing horsepower doesn't win races in the desert.
I have no problem with my motors and I don't want anyone to cater to me. If that was the case why would I ask for a truly unlimited class where I can run a big bore on a 1k
I'm not trying to put a v8 in a rzr chassis, just want to build what we can out of a sxs platform.
I am not having much trouble with belts or transmissions so until I do I guess I will keep going.
Just asking what is the point of rules that cannot be enforced?
I race a 2013 Can Am Maverick in the WE Rock/Dirt Riot series. I know I know not as glorious as the BITD or Score, but I have never heard anyone go up to Big Rich and complain about tech. We race because it's fun. We congratulate the podium finishers of the race, go home, test and try to get faster and better, not to break or lose again. Not call people cheaters. Now I've never argued the fact that maybe something does need to change for you guys, but this thread was started on YOU calling people cheaters. The title of the thread is "Are UTV Racers Cheating"? If you sir suspected someone of cheating why didn't "your" teammates step up and say something at the Mint? Why are they not here saying hey, I think xxxxx has a motor not within rules? Safety is always a concern add it should be and no one should be racing if there is a safety violation......BUT that is not what this thread was started about. Have a nice day sir and good luck in the rest of the season for you.Whatha what are you racing?
