Shop to help trace electrical problem???

Hey Guys, I'm in need of a shop to help me chase down an electrical problem in my moms Rhino.

Here's whats going on, the tail lights and headlight do not work as well as the brake switch. I have to start it every time in neutral. I think what happened is the brake wires in the back got to close to the exhaust and melted them shorting them all out. Everytime I put a new fuse in it pops as soon as I turn on the lights or hit the brakes.

If anyone knows of a shop preferably closer to LA please let me know.

Thanks.

I think you found your prob already Travis, redo the melted wires, and recheck.

I cant start mine unless its in nuetral either...but I dont know if my lights are effected until I hook them all back up...

Thats the thing Rog...I cant seem to find where they are melted. Maybe I'm wrong but I did find other melted wires around the rear area that have already been replace.

the other ones are the pigtail for the "backup lights" one is hot when ign is one and the other is nothing unless you add the relay for the reverse kit. then this becomes a ground.

I will chase the schematic today and try to provide some help Travis.

a couple of things Travis.

which fuse is blowing, the lighting fuse or the "signaling" system fuse???

also unplug the tail lights and let me know if the fuse blows again.

Travis, if you get totally frustrated, The pro shop has the brain they call him. he is pretty good a figuring this stuff out.

Also Mike at prestige has rewired my Rhino a couple times now.

Hopfully you can trace it yourself and save a few bucks and time.

Thanks Rick. Yeah I freaking HATE electrical crap. I might throw in the towel so thanks for the heads up.

hey if you can bring it down here to anaheim I can figure it out for u !!
we have had a few rhino's do this more than likely its the wires going to the light switch from the relays that are grounded out

That may be it. I unplugged the lights and tail lights put another fuse in it and it poped as soon as I turned the light switch.

I'll check that. If not I might be making a trip. Thanks for the heads up.

Cant beat that with a stick!

It might have to be after our race because we are so busy prepping the cars.

Can you PM me your number so I can get all the info incase I can get someone to drop it off.

Thanks again!
