the guys at Fast-Aid including UTVUnderground member HDRA1 Lucas Hand are working hard to get the memorial in place!

This is absolutely horrific.:( I lived in Barstow for 8 years and spent many hours out at the ranch guzzling beer and playing pool. I have the greatest respect for the Lynn family, and am truly saddened to hear of this loss! These are genuine down home folks who really care about other folks.

Hwy 247 is a treacherous road and has provided me with a few times on the shoulder avoiding certain tragedy. My thoughts and prayers to the Lynn family as well as everyone involved or touched by this tragedy. I hope the first responders can make their way through this too. I was an EMT for 5 years, and it's always worse when it gets personal. Please be strong and know we are all here as one big family, so lean on us too.

Peace...

Dan ...

I know its absolutely devastating. I feel so bad for all these recent tragedies with Chappy and now with the Lynn family.

Heard about the news this morning. What a horrible situation! I am lost for words. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Lynn family! Great people and great place they have! Slash X is a MUST when you are out in the dezert!!

As for the memorial - ama stay outta that - thats was just a bad place to be at during the race and it sucks for both the spectators that lost there lives and also the driver. I have hear people say things about the incident that they later regret saying - so like I said - ama stay outta that..................................

I THINK IT IS A REMINDER OF THE TRAGEDY THAT HAPPENED & ALL OF THE PEOPLE IT EFFECTED. IT IS THERAPUTIC TO A LOT OF PEOPLE TO HAVE A PLACE TO REFLECT ON A TERRIBLE EVENT THAT HAS HAPPENED.

I get where you are coming from PB and I respect that - I think the "memorial" is just in remembrance of the situation and has noting to do with anyone being "heroic".
If I am understanding you correctly - maybe they should have label it "in remembrance" or "statue of MDR/CA 200"??
