JaggedX RZR XP900 BITD race car build thread...

...ok, this is the funniest picture ever on UTVUG!

What should the caption read? Caption contest...JD? :p

i told you a can am can take a roll over.

If Jagged X had anything to hide or was doing anything that went against the rules do you really think they would post a build thread about the race car with detailed photos of every step?

Oh, and is this car going to have 4 wheels on it? Because I always build my cars with 4 wheels so you must be copying me.

Good job on the build guys, keep the pics coming.

What part of me saying I don't think they are cheating didn't you understand!

maybe the fact that they have ran my arms on the last 2 cars they built had something to do with the similarities ( insert a smiley flipping you off here) lol

What part of what I said accused YOU of saying they are/were cheating?

(Insert smiley with your lips on my butthole here.) lol

I don't know maybe this one......"If Jagged X had anything to hide or was doing anything that went against the rules"

I never quoted you personally. There were other people that expressed a similar opinion.

...but if you are so vehemently inclined to assume that my statement was directed towards you then so be it.

Let's get back to the build pics and stop the useless banter.

Where is the little popcorn eating smiley thing? Mike, Settle down Na! Brian, Settle Down Na!

Brian, you know we always try to build things to the edge. This car is no different. We analyzed the rules long and hard before starting the build and we are totally inside of them. I know that you know that we don't cheat and never would.

Mike, I have known this Brian for a long time, He was on the scene from day one. He builds great stuff. Always has.

There is definately a broad opinion of what or where the UTV racing world is or should be right now. As for us we want to see it keep growing. We will keep raising the bar as far as we can. The thing i love the most about the UTV class is that it really is one of the only classes that is changing with the times and with the industry.

Let's keep it growing.

Well said Bill! I too, want to see the class grow. The Pro class is one avenue and the other is the hobby stock class I outlined in other posts. I also am really enjoying watching our speeds increase. There was a day when we were only as fast as class 11's and now we are faster than Jeep Speeds, 5/1600 and the majority of the Trophy Lites. What is next...2/1600? Woot...woot! :)

Great build and the UTV's are definitely speeding up. My 840 teryx is no longer big enough and it has less than a mile on it. I am already trying to plan bigger just to keep up. As the class grows and the UTV's evolve, I hope that someday the industry reaizes that there are tons of older machines, I have one too, that could be raced in a "vintage" UTV class with something like a 750 or 800cc limit. I just hate to see all the cool cas of two years ago collecting dust because they are no longer competative. Where would desert racing be if we did not keep adding classes to accomidate the cars that were class one five or ten years ago. If we did not consider that we would have class 11 and class 1. Hopefully the UTV's will do the same with something like:

Vintage: single cylnder only
sport: Up to 800cc
Pro: Open to it all

Enought of this, let's see some more pics of the 900 that is the current threat for the silverstate.

Well said!

Honestly, I was personally pushing posting this "build thread" and it has resulted in far more negative than positive...as suspected. The build is moving forward without issues and with Casey Folks blessing...but I honestly see zero reason to post anymore pics as they have mostly been met with negativity from people that honestly have exactly ZERO to do with BITD desert racing.
It has been a personal learning experience for me...I thought it would be good, but honestly I no longer see the point...just as I was told before I started it by several different people. In summary, I likely won't be adding any updates...it will be available for viewing at Silverstate.:D
Mike

Mike dont let a couple of "know it all's" keep you guys from sharing this build. Trust me there are way more people enjoying the process and appreciate the skills involved with putting this car together than negative nay sayers trying to point out potential rule bending designs. If guys have a problem with the way its being built let them take THEIR OWN BUILDS in a different direction....You said it best, Casey has given it its blessing, the tech inspector gave it his blessing, so if anyone has a problem they can go to them with their whining.

Keep up the great work Jagged.

Mike, sorry you received so much negativity. Personally, I think your build is awesome, and I'm one of the guys that will eventually be running against your car. Don't let any of those that want to argue, get you down, Jagged X is a great team and should be proud of what they have acheived and what they build.

And for you others out there that want to accuse Jagged of cheating or pushing the rules, get a life. This world already has too many trying to destroy it, don't you destroy it from the inside. If you have a problem with Cory and the rules he has put together, or with Mike's build thread, then you don't have to participate. I for one, am getting tired of hearing your rants and whining against this build or against Cory's rules or whatever it is this week you are against. Last time I checked, most of us here should be adults and able to discuss things without whining. If you have a legitimate problem, document it and take it to the proper ruling body....
Damn, grow up people..., you are starting to sound like Charlie Sheen.....

Mike, I sure hope you reconsider keeping your photos and build coming, but understand if you don't...

The build is great. There are always the internet pros that have never raced a day in their life. Don't let that discourage you. We racers all know it is legal and we are looking forward to seeing you at the silverstste. I sent my registration in last week. Hope to see more pics and see you there.

I couldn't agree more with Joey and Darryl!!

Stopping only gives the A-holes more ammunition!
Personal this stuff really gets under my skin because it does nothing to support the sport that brings us to a great site like the underground and takes away the opportunity for creative inspiration!! If Jon C. (crowdog) didn't post photos of his King of Hammers Teryx build I may have never been inspired to do mine and go have the time of my life racing the KOH! I say screw the guys that cant handle keeping up and inspire those of us that want to be apart of it!!

I hope you change your mind and continue this build thread!

Cheers,
Brett

Yeah guys don't let a few negative people ruin it for the rest of us! Some of us garage builders rely on these types of threads for ideas, not to copy but to inspire design. There are far more positive subscribers to this thread then negatgive so keep it coming!!

I think its is great that you are taking pictures of your build and I nowhere stated that you were or are cheating!!! i just expressed my opinion on it as for the growth of our industry

LTI="exactly ZERO to do with BITD desert racing" :D
