yeah that is the rules. there are three classes. class 1 is up to 1000 ccs class 2 is up to 850 ccs and class three is up to 705ccs.
class three is pretty much the rhino class. they dont allow any motor swaped cars, it has to be the motor and tranny that the utv comes with.

So all the UTV classes are defined purely by engine size?
How many UTVs are showing up? Any guess as to how many with stock cages?

yes engine size determines the class. what class were you looking at running? Class 2 is the biggest class but class 1 is really been growing over the last two rounds with the xp and the can am out.First round had 29 cars out and the second round had 39 cars all together. im going to guess probably at least 30 cars for this turn out.
Crowdog: x2 on what speedracer said.. Its super laid back rules, first by engine cc then add harnesses and a fire ext and your in.
the classes each race on the track at the same time but start each class 30 seconds apart. Each of the 3 classes run a different color background for scoring purposes. Plus transponders..

Stock cages: I would say at Primm out of the 38 cars that 10 or 12 had stock cages, the XP that won the overall had a stock cage..

I have a few, I will bring an extra just incase you dont find one or someone needs one. Check other MC/watercraft shops, I believe its the same one they sell for the watercrafts?...

TMS & GSXR I've seen the fire extinguishers your talking about. I'm looking for really small one like a marine unit. But the marine unit's are only bc. So I'm gonna just have to get the one at lowes like GSXR. Thanks for the info guys. As for my numbers my co driver made them today. So I'm race ready.......

im all ready for this race not sure if im going to make practice yet. i know this is one of the shorter tracks in the series so im looking forward to doing a lot of laps

Great race everyone. I got 6th out of 15 not bad for my 1st race. Plus on the 3rd lap I broke a cv joint. I thought it was a flat so I stopped and looked no flat. So I kept going & then I got stuck going up a hill. Then I realized I was in 2wd. I started in 4wd so somehow it got put into 2wd. So I put it back in 4wd and started doing really well again. Can't wait for Anza......

yea i was behind you going up that hill and only one tire was throwing a roost. happened to me last race easy fix
Well I originaly said I wasnt going to race this race but my teamate Brian Thomas changed my mind at the last minute. I started in the second row in class 2. We got a good start, we were 2nd off the line and made our way up to first in our group within the first 1/4 mile. We had a red t-rex on our butt but we were able to pull him in the whoops. We ran hard for the next couple of laps and started to catch the group that started 30 sec. in front of us. We chased a few guys down and passed them and ended up 3rd in class 2! There were 15 in our class! We had an absolute blast!!!! The track seemed to flow better then the last few years. I guess Im happy that Brian talked me into racing! My team mate Brian Thomas ended up 2nd. We would like to thank Pit Bull Tires, Makin Trax Suspension, Dirty dawg Performance, Web Cam, Joels T Shirts, and Rockstar Customz. Not to bad Havasu boys coming in 2nd and third!
