I know exact numbers for both tires and pretty much every wheel you can think of.....I did a lot of research on weight so I know exactly how light they are.STUs are not as light as you claim and guess what go ahead and try to run the STU on a non bead lock wheel and see how well that works out for you smart guy. The reason why everyone runs them on a beadlock wheel is it a known fact the STU can't hold a bead very well as its bead seating pressure is about 8 psi which is crazy low. And a Skat-Trak bead seats at 20 psi roughly. So it's very easy to pop the STU off the bead.

You don't know any one running around on a STU without a bead cause it's a very very rare thing and when they run without beads they come off pretty easy if pushed hard duning it's a fact. Get over it, if Tim thought for a second that a molded Tire could be built to out perform the Skats he would have built it but he knows it won't work. He has the capability to build any tire he wants and won't waste the time or money building a tire that won't be the best.I know exact numbers for both tires and pretty much every wheel you can think of.....I did a lot of research on weight so I know exactly how light they are.
And the only people claiming STUs have loose beads are in your camp. I talked to multiple people running STUs without beadlocks at 10 psi and none of them had any problems with losing beads.
I ran STUs on my 900 without a beadlock, let me know when you get tired of being wrong..You don't know any one running around on a STU without a bead cause it's a very very rare thing and when they run without beads they come off pretty easy if pushed hard duning it's a fact. Really how many people have mounted there tires and seen the difference. Lol.Actually there are a couple guys on the RZR forum running STUs without beadlocks. I talked to a ton of people in the industry about STUs having loose beads trying to see if your claims were legitimate. I heard they have loose beads from exactly three people. You, Tim, and his wife.

I gave them a chance years ago and they don't compare and as Far as sticks puncturing a tire we haven't had a flat in our group that I can ever remember. And we camp by the canal and rip through the trees. The Skats start life out as a 4 ply tire. And I don't hear of many flats happening.Well I'm running this season on STUs without beadlocks. If I have any issues I will be the first one to admit that you are right.
I'm sure the new Skats are a solid tire and I would still love to try them. If I have issues with losing beads I definitely will. I'm not saying I think that the blaster is the end all be all sand tire but I think it's pretty safe to say that they work and they aren't so thin that I have to watch running over a stick. I don't think you give them a fair shake.
Run mine 6 and 7psi and no problems on Douglas wheels.I know exact numbers for both tires and pretty much every wheel you can think of.....I did a lot of research on weight so I know exactly how light they are.

Why would you run a tire at 6 or 7 psi on a 1500 lb car. You will blow right through the tire and case the rim as tire compresses in the hard hits.Run mine 6 and 7psi and no problems on Douglas wheels.

You can't feel it bottoming out, or when you're going fast on the flat ground do you ever hear sound like a Helicopter over head.Because it works. Only wheel I've bent is hitting a tree.

No beadlocks and 6-7 PSI would freak me out a little. Fullerton told me to stay between 8 and 10 and shouldn't have any problems short of something bad happening.Run mine 6 and 7psi and no problems on Douglas wheels.

The Helicopter sound is caused from running to low of air pressure and the paddle blades are flexing back and forth. Airing up paddle tires makes them get more bite as the blade is Rigid. No they don't bottom out. I do hear the helicopter and I read your post about it. That does make sense.

Yes all the paddles removed is lighter than a comp cut. Duner2's comp cut blasters came in at 20.4 lbs.Oh by the way I forgot to point out that the Skats have 92" to 94" Roll out which means this is a 30" Tire not some little 28", if you want to compare your weights to a 86" to 88" Roll out Skat then its really going to be an ass kicker. So maybe you should compare Apples to apples.
Heres the weight on a 86" Roll out Skat with paddles on it. and the weight of a STU 28 with all of the paddles removed which is lighter than a comp cut wouldn't you agree.
