SUPERSTITION RIDE OCT 21ST TO 23RD

I would have to agree with Papa Bear, If you are pulling a trailer come in from the North. I-10 to Hwy 86 and then Right at the one Stop sign in Westmorland (Forrester Rd), then make a right on Imler Rd. (go approx. 5 miles ) and the camp will be on your right side. Not hard to find.

Thanks Everyone,
You're right Papa, I was'nt thinking about the grades and other BS. Google and my GPS tells me to go the 5 to the 8. But I'm sure thats cause it's slightly shorter that way but more obsticles:eek: I will head out the 10:D I'm gonna try for Thursday but if not I will be there for sure Friday around 9am:D

THE DUNAWAY RD TURN OFF ON I-8 IS APPROXIMATELY 45 MILES FROM THE GOLDEN ACORN CASINO WHERE WE CAMPED FOR THE ROBERT ROSAS RIDE. IT IS A STEEP GRADE FOR 8 MILES OR SO.

We did a drive by this weekend to check out the area. The whole camping area is pretty flat & hard so it's really easy to see camper's from the road. There is an entry area with a sign and this area was flat and hard packed. If you come in from the north, camping will be on your right. For those who come in from the south off Huff. It is maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 mile past wheeler road. Where the road veers to the right slightly and the telephone poles end. Look for the small entry sign " open OHV area" on your left.
We will be setting up our camp circle Thursday morning on the western side of the area, next to the mud hills on the left and in a little bit so we're away from the road. Sweet looking area.
BECAUSE IT IS NOT A BIG WEEKEND. WE SHOULD HAVE THE AREA ALMOST TO OURSELVES.

My dad and I will be out there Thursday morning so we will set up where we can be seen, we normally are to the north and in approx 1/4 mile right along bomb signs, keeps the road traffic down. Se you guys in a couple weeks

Sounds good.

Lots of nails close to the mud hills.

ONLY 17 DAYS UNTIL WE RIDE. I MIGHT BE OUT THURSDAY NIGHT BUT PROBABLY FRIDAY MORNING. DON'T FORGET TO SIGN UP FOR SATURDAY NIGHT'S CARNE ASADA POTLUCK. $5.00 PER PLATE. WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS. I KNOW I AM EXCITED FOR THE FIRST RIDE OF THE DESERT SEASON.
COOLER THIS WEEK WITH WIND & CHANCE OF RAIN. IT IS PRETTY WINDY RIGHT NOW.

please sign me +1 up for the Dinner. I would be more than Happy to bring some salsa or help out cooking or something. Let me know what you need. I will be out there Saturday morning and stay over. THX

For those of you who are still on the fence about coming out for this ride.......get off the fence & get in!!!! This event will be ALOT of FUN. There is going to be ALOT of SXS riding action. This place has every type of terrain you could want for a SXS. No mud, unless it rains. There will be alot of great people to ride with that know this place really well, so get your SXS put together and lets go kick start the desert season!!!

Kickstart the Desert Season? Hell we never stopped!!! :D

I agree, this is gonna be a good one. Unfortunately the $300 in gas to do it leaves me picking and choosing.

I'm opting for the Veterans day ride in Mecca. A little cheaper, not much I know, but I really love that place!!! Have fun and we'll be waiting for all the pics and scuttle butt when you get back...

Dan....

DAN WE WILL REALLY MISS YOU & CHRIS. WE TOO HAVE TO LIMIT OUR TRIPS. SO WE WON'T BE MAKING THE VETERAN'S DAY TRIP BUT PLAN ON THANKSGIVING @ MAMMOTH WASH.
ONLY 16 DAYS & COUNTING.

THE ROAD IS A GRADED COUNTY ROAD, BUT IT CAN GET WASHBOARDED. THE MAIN HILL @ MAMMOTH WASH CAN GET CROWDED BUT NOTHING LIKE GLAMIS. ADD ANOTHER 30 MINUTES OR SO FROM THE GLAMIS STORE.

Well, looks like we WILL be at this ride Ronnie. The veterans day ride is too close to Chris' surgery so we won't be able to make that one; save us a spot. We should be there sometime just after dark on Friday.

Leave a light on for us...:D
