Silver State roll call

HDRA1

old buggy dork - UTVUnderground Approved
well who is going to be there and what have you heard about the track i will be there for sure in the gator #1913. I will be updating the build thread soon :D

We "might" be there.:D
Mike

nice but don't forget to put an eyelet on the back of the new ride so i can latch on to you guys

my understanding is the course will be going backwards this year anyone else heard anything ?

We are planning on being there as it will be the roll out of our Commander (1921) as Avid Offroad Racing...the build is going well, picking it up from H-Town Perf on the 22nd...then bringing it back to Tucson for the remainder of the build. We will be putting on the Turnkey UTV LT suspension here, finishing up the build and start the testing... whole lot of work ahead of us and not much time. Sounds like a whole lot of new, never raced rigs will be there for their first race race.. hope it doesn't turn into a Garage Sale!

Michael

1917 "might" be there too! With so many new builds lining up, we may need to bring the old red one cylinder just to try and get the finish and stay out of the "garage sale". Looking forward to seeing the new builds!

1915 will be there for sure. Hopefully our titanium spring retainers last more than 8 miles this time. Our motor is bigger but not a 1000 yet. We made a couple changes to get more top end for this race and hopfully it will pay off.

Where does everyone stay for the race? We leave after the quads so it will be early and the start line is 95 miles north of Vegas (tech and reg).

Mesquite, NV

1932 Baja Bobsled will be there.

JX-Mike. I think the start is going to be at the Alamo truck stop...yes/no? If so Mesquite is no closer than Aliente Station host hotel...maybe further.

I am debating whether to drag my toy hauler over and staying the night at the truck stop. Hmmmm...

You're probably right Matt...that's why our "logistical engineer (Bill)" always makes sure that we're in the right place...otherwise, we'd probably be at the wrong starting line, in the wrong city, possibly in the wrong state.:D

Haha...I need a 'logistical engineer' too!

I just read on the BITD website that the host hotel Aliente Station is full. Plan B.

Also I would assume that Cory S and Lasher will be there. Plus Bill Morris from Bakersfield is racing the SF250 in his RZR 4 (-2) this weekend, but said he is also shooting for the SS300. With luck we should have 15 or so.

Our Monster Energy Kawasaki Teryx will be at the Silver State 300.

We will also have a little more power thanks to Muzzy's!!!

As the absolute newbies here, we are asking the same questions...my thought too, was just after tech and drivers meeting..to drive out and park at the Start/finish (same place right?) guess we have some time to figure out the details..

and yes I will get Hotlz pic of his Commander off my avatar as soon as we have some decent pics of our own Commander...

I just booked two rooms in Alamo The hotel is the alamo in

Alamo Inn (775) 725-3371 367 N Us Highway 93, Alamo, NV

The rooms have three beds and they are less than $60 each night. Hopefully this is closer to the starting line. Having never been there, we will see.

and they are sold out :(

Just sent in my pre-registration. I called and reserved the rooms with the guy at the front but the manager was out so he did not take my Visa. I called back to give it to the manager and they told me they have been sold out for two months. Oh well, I was excited for a while. Looks like we are going to be camping at the start line so we don't have to get up too early.

Hopefully we draw something better than 11. This is going to be a long one.

I think I am going the camping route also.

I don't know if starting position is going to be all that important at this race. A lot of the fast 2/1600 guys request a rear start in Baja races. It takes 'position physically vs position on time' out of the equation if you take 'er to the front. But having said that I am going to get my entry in for the drawing ASAP.

I heard Lucas does a wicked BBQ!

The camping/ trailer route is best, and there is a large area near the starting line, and a truck stop. Last year we were suprised how long the drive was from Vegas, and you do not want to do that early in the am. Will make for a long day and no sleep!
