PCI SXS Busa Build

I don't have ant dune trips planned as of yet and probably not till next season. I've got lots of testing to do which will be done in the desert inclusive of suspension tuning with brett. You guys know I prefe desert which is why this car was built the way it was. I'll deff make a dune trip next season though...

So i weighed the car yesterday and shes a little fatter than what i designing towards. She came in at 1650; 150lbs more than what i shot for. after thinking if there was anything i could do to trim fat, i decided theres really nothing i would have done different as its exactly what i wanted.

Im going out easter and will start messing with gearing and figuring out where i get the best performance...

lol, i think it is what it is. The only place i can see cutting a few lbs easily is at the wheels. but i dont think im going to do anything. the motor is stock and has nowhere to go but up. so im gonna start with some testing and see how things go before i decide on anything.

i always intended on building the motor overe the summer when i tear the car down for PC. so i guees we will see whether i feel it needs a displacment increase or turbo. im not a huge fan of turbos in the desert, and since i dint build this car as a sand car, i expected it to be heavier and would prefer to bump it up to a 1400+CC and pull HP that way.

Do the math... Thats 100hp for 800lbs of car roughly...far better than a Maverick, which hauls ass...plus you have manual gears and will be running hard pack...you're gonna haul the mail if you have your gearing right. We gotta get out and run it

you are right, feels fast in the street, so should feel even better in the desert where i can maybe get it into 4th, 5th, and 6th... LOL. i cant wait for easter...

You can drop about 40lbs real quick by sawapping out those dual Odyssey batteries for two of the Shorai lithiums (LFX36L3-BS12), 540 CCA, 36 a/hr only 4.96lbs each.... BAM!
