yamahammer does have a patent on an electronic solenoid operated CVT. has an electric solenoid on the face of the primary clutch. you shift gears the primary closes up and moves the belt up. still a CVT, with a belt, but doesnt have the springs and weights in the primary. been waiting for them to use it. i can only assume that since i heard the car in the video making a long raising RPM pull, it was in a fixed gear. sounds like it came out of that corner in 4th and made an accelerating pull and gained RPM. definitely a machine that has gear ratios, not a conventional CVT.
