Yamaha Need help with Comet clutch removal!

I understand the bolt and rod trick to back the clutch off the crank. I just can't find the proper thread size for the bolt. This is driving me CRAZY! It appears to be close to a 18 thread and between a 9/16 and 5/8 bolt size. McFadden hardware says it must be a 15mm that they don't have.
