Yamaha HELP!!!!

Make sure you clear all the tubes of the old belts debris. I used grease only on the rollers and on the slides. Doubt you have any tranny damage, make sure there are no fibers left wrapped around the shafts.

ya i cleaned out all the old belt off the shafts... but where else would i find debris?? should just blowing it out with my compressor be enough?

also rumor has it that i should remove my CVT filter and just run the open snorkle... thoughts?

Brian.....I do not run a CVT filter anymore although I may have too now depnding or not if its mounted like d34thw1sh mounted his. But in a set up like yours it isnt neccesary. Stock they dont have a filter and by putting one on you can only do harn if the filter gets dirty and clogged which most likely it will. I learned my lesson in baja after one day of riding I blew up my belt due to the dusty conditions clogging my filter. 86 the CVT filter unless you ride in mud or plan on cleaning it after every ride, not every trip but every RIDE!
