So I have trashed many google lenses from wiping them on my shirt and am starting to wonder if tear offs might be the way to go. Who uses them and whats your thoughts on them for SXS riding in dusty areas.

i use them only when i race they would be annnoying on fun rides
cus they flap in the wind

I used them when I was wearing goggles In a race and worked darn good until you run out of tear offs, now I carry a towel in my pocket to wipe the lense. As for fun riding I use goggles and usually just replace the lense after 2 years.

I keep a microfiber rag on hand usually and it works but even it scratches the lens when I wipe it if I have no water on the rag. I figure theres gotta be a better way.... then it hit me my lenses are setup for tear offs but there must be a reason nobody uses them for recreational riding because I have never once seen anyone besides racers use them.

at first I was thinking....WTF is a Google Lens? lol...sorry the web guy in me got all excited for some new technology! lol

I have been running the same set of Oakley Sand Goggles now for 2 seasons. They are scratched now and I will replace them this year but I try to use the microfiber as much as possible on them. I also try to use water to clean them off as much as possible.

A little trick the AGM race team uses in the race car that could be applied to rec riding if this is something that really bothers you is to cut a microfiber cloth into 4 squares and lightly mist them with some windex. LIGHTLY MIST. Place them into a plastic baggie and using some blue painters tape just tape the bag to the inside of your door panel. When you are riding you can grab one out like a kleenex box and use it till it dry's up. Save the microfiber's..wash them and repeat! Works well for long, dusty rides.

get a smtih or scott with a roll system.no tear offs flaping around all you do is pull the cord.you can also get them with a first turn tear off set up which you can double up with a tear off that you pull off first then resort to the cord.that what ive been using for years on my quad.

tear off arn't good for dusty areas. fine dust gets between the tearoff and the goggle lense

Goggles? Don't need no stinkin' goggles, huh Ernesto? LOL!!!:D (4th of July?)

One thing that also helps is to get an anti-static spray and lightly mist them. Also if you clean them, use dish-soap, it cut's down the static too....
