<st1:city w:st="on">Escondido</st1:city>, <st1:state w:st="on">CA</st1:state> August 30, 2010 – K1 <st1:city w:st="on"><st1></st1></st1:city>played host to the 2^nd annual AGM / DP8 movie premiere. By noon on the 29^th the parking lot of starting rumble as trucks, buggies and utv’s pulled into the show. Vendors were setting up and Baja Pits was getting the taco stand up and grilling. Between the smell of street tacos and race gas it really felt like contingency at a Baja race. With over 30 display vehicles, ranging from Trophy Truck’s, Class 1 cars and pre-runners to utv’s and even the Gen Rite King of the Hammers race vehicle. 10 plus vendors lined parking lot was packed with everything off road. While go kart action was full throttle inside, with many of the big names in off road racing showing up to compete in the Pro Celebrity go-kart race. The night closed with the premier of the new Desert People 8 movie! This year’s event had a special purpose as all proceeds would go to help FAST-AID, a non-profit organization founded to help racers and families affected by off-road racing accidents.

Also worth mentioning was how 4130 Clothing took it upon themselves to design and print a Fast-Aid memorial shirt, which they funded out of pocket. The shirt was released for sale at yesterday’s event with much anticipation and at just $12 each with 100% of the profit going to fast-aid. 4130 would sell amount all of the 250 plus shirts they brought to this event (Shirts available online @ 4130clothing.com). Not to be outdone by 4130’s generosity, <st1>Randy Weisser</st1> from Off Road Warehouse, whose booth was just next to 4130’s, would up the ante by vowing to match all donations made on the day, up to $5000.00!



All German Motorsports and all the supporting vendors (4130 Clothing, Race-Dezert.com, Fast-Aid.org, FOX Racing, Off Road Warehouse, Ridiculous clothing, K1 Speed, Clean-Dezert.org and UTVunderground.com) made this event a great success. Raising between $15,000 and $20,000 for Fast-Aid. Next years event is sure to be even better!
