Saturday Vail Lake has fireworks, they usually start as soon as it gets dark, 8:30-9pm, so we were thinking we have a
Regular picnic day, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, potato-macaroni salads, ribs, etc, we all bring enough for our families plus extra to share.
This usually works well.

Houston, we have a problem.......

Did anyone else get a call saying they wanted 50.00 more?

I was told either pay or lose all you money as it was too late to back out. I was quoted a price and paid in full months ago. Now it would appear that the computer made a mistake and has miraculously fixed itself. Unfortunately for me it waited until it was too late according to their rules, to have the option to get a full refund.

So it's either pay 50 more or lose 225.00

Nope, no call or email here. However, I just paid/reserved a few weeks back so maybe it was fixed by then.

BTW, you put together a quote for that setup for me? NP if not I know you've got a full plate, but I want to have that for the Miller Ride at the end of July if possible.

Here's a good one. Got a call from Vail. They want me to pay in full because "it's going to be busy in the office when I get there", yeah right. I don't get that because I paid with a credit card, they have all the information.

Anyone else had this call?

We had troubles with them last week. I did have to pay in full at the time we made our rez 2 months ago. We resolved our problem but their accounting folks have issues.

OFFICE PERSONNEL IN CAMPGROUNDS ARE USUALLY WORK KAMPERS & SOMETIMES THERE MAY BE DIFFERENT PEOPLE WORKING EVERY DAY SO NOT ALL OF THE INFORMATION IS HANDED ON TO THE NEXT PERSON. WE HAVE DEALT WITH THAT MANY TIMES @ ANOTHER CAMPGROUND.

I called and asked about this, it seems this is the VIP package. They register you and complete all of the paperwork. You sign in at the gate anytime you like that day or morning, and you're given a completed package, no need to go to the office to register. If you show up early, you pay the guard a $10 early arrival fee. I asked about getting my $$$ back if I had a heart attack Friday morning (sensationalizing a little) and she said, well you've technically already paid in full because we have the CCard # and we do not give refunds for the 4th of July. Bottom line is, you've paid and they ave your money, period. You want it back, you have to haggle with your CCard co. and dispute the charges.

Sounds like they've been burned before. I thought it was illegal for them to demand payment prior to service rendered in this state. I guess not.
