The WORCS series UTV race is on Jan 20-22, 2012 @ Glen Helen

This race has a PURSE PRIZE FULL OF $$$$$$$$$.
Who will win it this year and now the POLARIS XP is here?

2 HOUR LONG RACE ..............

sweet thanks for clearin that up. i should be able to make that no problems then :)

2 hours? i gotta get my forced air system by then lol

Why no UTV class break down like WORCS or even LEGP? Since 2012 is the year of ISA it would be nice to see and I bet Im not alone on this...

Class breakdown is like this:

UTV Open

Yeah, thats it. The way Soboba always has been. Run what your brung, and hope you brung enough, winner takes all (or most at least). Last year a stock RZR4 won, beating out a few XPs, Canned Hams and SR1s.

More classes would just spread the money around too thin. Keep Soboba Soboba. The huge purse is what makes this race what is is (along with the great terrain and hospitality of the tribe).

I am waiting to talk to Jake and Daniel at Soboba again but it sounds like it will remain the open format but possibly split the street bike or "alternate" powered UTV's into their own class? This was discussed last year. I know they plan to do tech for safety items this year so be prepared with harnesses, window nets, and helmets FOR SURE!

You're missing my point.

BTW, since you mention SR1's will we see #850 at Soboba?

Open Pro, for cash, run what you brung.
ISA Class break down, for plaques.
Transplant in ISA classification.
Street its own class. (BTW, the SR1 816 will not be at Soboba, but the 816 Class ? might.)

I know its more work for the promoters but I (me) think it would be cool if they split it up to give those who have no shot (or interest) at $$$ a chance to win their class and a plaque. Maybe you would pick up a few on the fence.

You guys need help w/ tech?

just run the SR1, there is no reason it could not be competetive especially with your boy drivin, he is very good. Nut up and get in the pass seat with your boy and have fun.:cool::D

I think you have a great idea there Doug!

Im sure theres a flaw in my logic but with a little tweaking it seems doable(sp).

hahahaha, negitive ghost rider. The last time I rode with him was Soboba 08 and I pee'd blood for a week, I have been happy to watch ever since. ;)

He drove moms Rhino at the LEGP and said because it was so slow it was way more fun kinda like riding a 125, pinned everywhere. He loves his SR1 but it has its place, he can drive a UTV for Soboba.

As long as i can find a spot for a bigger fuel cell.. 4 gals aint going to cut it for a 2 hour race.

To me, the Soboba race is like the casino. Yeah, you might not win, but then again you could, and you'd hit it big! Thats the draw, for me, at least..

(OH and Sobaba was my first UTV race, and I had a BLAST!

We are having a Track Meeting this Saturday and they are talking about making it a 15 mile long loop instead of a 7.5 mile! I will let everyone know and if anyone has questions let me know, but keep it simple! ;):D
