Did you guys see this on the UTVRA site?

The UTV Racing Association membership fees for 2011 will be $25.00 per vehicle, per race. Membership fees will be collected at each race and decals will be issued. Membership is required to race at the Best In The Desert series races in the Pro UTV, Pro DSR1 and Sportsman UTV/DSR1 classes. The UTVRA created and manages the UTV/DSR1 classes for Best In The Desert. Some of the membership benifits include; decals, build consulting, "how to race" consulting, 24 hour UTVRA hotline 602-769-6164, safety and tech inspection, contingency managment.

If memory serves it was $80 a year before. BITD membership is $50 a year.

UTVRA membership was $75 per year (two required per team) = $150 , same as $25 per race per car. The difference is this way if someone only races a couple races a year they don't have to pay for the whole season.

whether you agree or not. The UTVRA does support UTV racing more than most of us realize. I know there has been a lot of debate about the need for UTVRA . Without rekindleing this debate on this thread i will just say that the Jagged X/Polaris Racing team will continue to support the UTVRA.

Right on! everyone is tied for the 2011 championship........ at zero! this is a good start for entries for the season. I know of at least one more entry that is not signed up yet. We are prepping his car so he will be ready.

Any one else out there on the fence. I'm with bajaxp lets get the count up over twenty.

I heard a rumor that John Deer was planning on feilding an entry?

If John Deere races...they absolutely have to have yellow wheels on their race rig.

To get more $$$ value per race, what we should be beeechin' about is only getting two laps instead of three. Collectively we are WAY faster than three years ago.

My boy Lucas Hand is building a Gator to run BITD and SNORE in but he didnt get his unit until about a week ago so it wont be ready. He mentioned he was wondering if someone had a UTV he could rent so he could maintain points?

I dont have info and they wouldnt let me take pics but I know there is a full tube desert Gator over at CRB Fab in San Marcos being tinned up and it actually looks pretty SICK!!!

I wish I could afford to go but at this point I am tapped out so unless someone can pay a photographer I will be watching the tracker from the comfort of my home!!!

I know Cory was talking about renting out his Rhino I know he has alot on his plate right now but its worth a shot maybe the 1937 team would rent out the rzr or the terx???

I have a race rhino that came from weller yesterday, new piston, cylnder, valves, etc. The motor is fresh and the car is fast. We raced it at the henderson race and the only thing that stopped us was a seatbelt getting caught in the clutch. Let me know if you are interested.

I totally agree. It would be even better if the sun comes back out for the race. No dust and sunshine. That does not happen very often.

I have family that lives in Parker they said another storm came through last nite. Weather report is calling for more rain in Parker next Wed. We have snow on the desert mnts. here in Havasu.

Best In The Desert just called and has reduced the Parker 250 entree fee for the UTV/DSR1 classes by $100.00. If you have paid already they will have a $100.00 refund for you at registration.
The reason for the refund is because we are racing 2 laps.
