Yamaha 09 Crossplane SR1 Build

Well I have been surfing and searching the forums for a while planning this build, and finally decided it was time to get on here and create a build thread.
Out here in Northwest Oklahoma, so the SR1 will strictly be for the dunes. We are putting an 09 R1 in an 09 Rhino with the Wellers kit... We sold our old long travel and upgraded to the Lonestar XTR-F kit. anyway thats about it for now, I'll post up some pics of what we started with, and now that we have it all stripped down.

good luck with your build. the 09 Cross plane crank R1 sounds v-twin esq, with a good exhaust, many won't know what is in it!

Yeah you hit the nail on the head, Im planning to run Two Brothers Slip ons for an 09 r1... Hopefully with a custom exaust they sound as good as they do in all the YouTube videos... Nothin like a r1 that sounds like a v8...

A coworker of mine has one, sounds most excellent! even with yamaha slip ons.

Made some good progress today.. We got most of the gaurd panels cut off the frame and started smoothing stuff up..

Lol, It took me a sec to see what you meant.. when you are running two grinders side by side, you will put your hoodie up to keep from getting showered with sparks..

No, it's on order.. I think most of it is supposed to ship this week maybe, and they said it would be a few weeks before my SR1 Hubs ship out.
