So we at one gear racing are considering building a new race car on the 1000 chassis and getting an idea of what we might ask for our race car it is a completely custom build and way to much to list but full race motor from queen racing with 108hp to the wheels to lonestar racing long travel kit and the list goes on and on and on

What would u pay?

As a SWAG, $25-30K. I think you've built the equivalent of a say a 12 car. It's really tough because there's not too many full customs on the boards.

I've looked REAL hard at a lot of things, but they're all over the board. It's going to boil down to what you have in it vs. how bad you want to walk away from it.

If you wait long enough someone will find it to their liking and hit you up, so good luck! I wish I had the $$$ to invest, but alas a millionaire I ain't!

Very nice car BTW, I'm sure the new owner will be more than satisfied with the performance.

Ya we had a great time building the car and it is a very very well built car and nothing has been over looked or skipped.. At this point I would be willing to sell it to someone who wanted to start racing as it would have many many extra parts and spares that would go along with it.. I think 35k would be where we would be willing to sell it as it has less then 700 miles on it total.. We love the car and it is super competitive just thinking we want to build a new two seat chassis car

I think you could get that for it. Hell, that's probably close to what you paid for all the aftermarket toys and accessories you have on it! GL!!:)

I would think you could ask $40k for it. Anyone looking to have a car built knows this car is priced right. If you are going to list it, I would pull the wrap off, and set up all the spare parts you have for it and take some nice photos. The photo is the first impression.

Ya we wouldn't pull the wrap off unless someone purchased the car the wrap is part of our sponsorship and cost way to much just to rip off... The car has close to 45 plus 100's of hours Work in it... You would basically be buying either a badass rzr or litterally buying a race program all u would need is a driver suit and helmet...

$35K is cheap... too cheap maybe, but should sell quickly at that price IMO... awesome machine!

I think we will put it up and see what the intrest is and go from there I have a few people that would be interested in helping out on a desert race setup on a 1000 and would like to get it ready for next season!!!

I have lost of big things in the works for the 1k!! This is a killer car! really nice build! you said 100's of hrs, lol, yea right try 1000's of hours! 40k is a steal!

Shrive- 35 is so cheap. My car is everything yours is as you know only adding up reciepts I'm looking closer to 55 plus the hundreds of hours. Like you said your buying a turn key race car which is worth its weight in gold and all there is out there is cars that have been beat or built with cheap bolt ons. I think you should be more in the 40k- 45k. Seems there is someone out there who would see the value in saving so much time, money, and could go race next week.

Yeah, ditto on that time thing. I have about 3000 hours over a 6 month window designing and building our car. At an average employee's rate of 20/hr., that would be a cost of 60k for labor alone! Add 40k for the platform and aftermarket products, and we're in for 100k!! This UTV class has become a serious variety of the off-road classes, and are no longer, in my mind at least, an entry level class. The resale market is cut throat, and you'll be lucky to get back your cash investment. Labor is usually a 'gimme' Look at the bright side, the 100's of hour's spent in building your car was recreational and probably resulted in tighter bonds between good friends. Kind of curious, what would you do different when building your next car, if anything at all?

all I know is if you put this add up just a few months ago I would have been all over it. But I picked up the Storm Trooper and really don't have any room left for a 4th car...lol.... DAMN IT !!!

Forget sell'n it!!! Drag that rig down to mehico next mont and race it!

Can't believe you got stuff sponsored and a bunch of Good prices on stuff and then you think about going and selling it. Hard to believe any of those business got enough exposure off your three races to sponsor you on anything else again.

Ide say run it. You own it. Its yours. Have you worked out all your bugs to build another yet ??? Come race some more BITD and make sure your ready to start another build and another set of headaches. Come race baja !!!See if that thing can go 1000 more miles
