UTVs at DAKAR 2013

Looks like three Polari and two CA's are still rock'n after nearly 4000 miles. Willy Alcaraz from France is now in 37th position OVERALL in the car class. To give it some perspective, Robby Gordon is in 19th place in the same class. Great job Willy. Let's hope all of the remaining UTV's can bring 'er home! Woot...woot! Pic is from today.

Well stage 12 starts tomorrow. It appears that Willy Alcaraz (France) is now in 36th position out of 162 starters. Robby Gordon remains in 19th position.

Alcaraz in his Polaris RZR is now leading both the T3 class and the solo classes. Duclos (France) in a Polaris RZR is in 56th, Lopez (Chili) in a CA in 60th, Reinaldo (Brazil) in a CA in 65th, Blangino (Arg) in a Polaris RZR in 89th and Marino (Col) in a CA in 91st.

Three stages to go! Super stoked to see six UTV's still in the race. I would love to see somebody from the good ole US of A race this in a Ute next year. You?

As you can see from today's pic, the terrain was wet. Major rain and flash flooding. I think the next three days will head back into the dunes. Go UTV guys! :)
