Just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who came out to race in the ASCC/AZ Lucas Oil Regional race at Firebird yesterday!! We had a lot of our AZ racers there, but the Cali guys came out, too - making our car count awesome!

We had 23 SR1/UTV/Pilots registered for our race - it was huge!! 14 or 15 SR1's for the SR1 Championship round.....very cool!!

Dust was terrible on our heat race....Tim Jones @ ASCC apologized profusely for that. They were trying to time their watering for a heat race or two before ours so that we wouldn't have a slick track....with several delays in those races before ours, it just dried out WAY too much. The main was much better - thank you!

Here are the overall race results from the Main - with fastest times for each racer!

1. Jimmy Fishback (SR1) - 47.164
2. Corry Weller (SR1) - 47.427
3. Jason Weller (SR1) - 47.415
4. Gary Thompson (SR1) - 48.590
5. Emilio Rubago (SR1) - 50.064

12. Brad Griego (SR1) - 54.721
13. Dan Burke (SR1) - 50.432
14. Sean Brininger (SR1) - 55.790
15. Shane Till (SR1) - 52.947
16. Brian Smith (?) - 57.960
17. Ty Wolfskill (Pilot) - 54.085
18. Trenton Briley (SR1) - 48.996
19. Cole Mamer (?) - 52.151
20. Lyn Grant (SR1) - 53.200
21. Terri Kary (Unlimited UTV) - 1:01.156
22. Bryan Osborn (SR1) 1:09.462 (i think he broke first lap)
23. (had another UTV that DNS'd after a wreck in the heats)

With the $1000 SR1 purse, Jimmy, Gary and Emilio all won some take-home cash - hope that helps with gas money and parts! :)

I'm pretty much used to my new SR1 now...at least I have finally figured out how to use the clutch on the shift lever without hitting my brakes accidentally - haha! It's so fun racing these things, but it's even more fun when you have a full field of people to race against! Huge thanks to the Lucas Oil Regional Series for supporting our class and helping it grow!

Our last SR1 Championship race is the BIG ONE in Vegas!! All three Lucas Oil Regional Series will be racing in one big shootout weekend November 10th - should be awesome! This will be the first time the SR1/UTV classes will be filmed for TV!

I can't wait to see how much these classes grows next season - I hear lots of new cars are in the works, so 2013 should be pretty amazing! :)

What a kick ass turnout!!! Thanks for sharing Cory! I need to duplicate myself so I can be at all these events!!

Thanks you guys! Yeah, Joey...you should come to some of these races! :)

That was my first race on that track and I had a blast!I cant wait for Vegas.
