As rounds 3 & 4 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series rapidly approach, the staff at Speedworld are in full swing, making improvements and preparing for another blockbuster event.
Crews began weeks ago on improvements and upgrades aimed at creating the most comfortable environment possible for race teams and race fans. Among many of the subtle changes, Speedworld has enlarged the V.I.P. RV spaces from 12’ wide to 18’ wide, expanded the pit area to accommodate additional race entries, and added an additional 1,000 seat grandstand along the front straight-away.
The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series returns to Speedworld on April 17-18.
"We want to be sure the racers, the fans and the great people at Lucas Oil enjoy this facility. Bigger, better, stronger, faster has always been our motto in regards to the ease of operation, user friendliness and the unique qualities that Speedworld has to offer” said owner Dan Matthews.
Reservations for the limited number of V.I.P. RV Spaces are available online now at Speedworld Raceway Park

Attention all drivers,
Please see below for some procedural changes and a tech notice:
New CRB (Competition Review Board) procedures will be in effect starting at this event. Drivers chosen to be members of the CRB must now remain at the track and be available by cell phone for 1 hour after the last race of the day. If there is a protest we will call you and at that point you must report to the tech trailer within 10 minutes. If you do not report to the tech trailer within the 10 minutes, you will be fined $200 and will receive a 2 point deduction. If you are not needed you will not be contacted and after the hour, your duty will have been served for that day.
All Drivers meetings are mandatory, make sure you are there on time. If you are late, at the discretion of the race director, you will be assessed a penalty which could include a points deduction, a fine or a position change. If you are not present when we do roll call, you will be put to the back of the pack for that days race.
Pro 4 drivers ONLY must bring their trucks to tech with no bodies for this event. Please ensure that all of your body panels are removed PRIOR to arriving in tech.
Kart drivers:
The 2010 Kart Rule Book is now on the website. It includes all of the previous updates, as well as the new minimum weights, effective immediately: J1-575, J2-640, Mod 250-690, Mod 450-795. Please review section KR-17 regarding approved methods for adding weight if necessary.
Modified Karts please review section KR-19 and be sure to have appropriate mudflaps at the Speedworld event.
All Karts need to come to technical inspection at Speedworld with the body removed.
UTV drivers:
Effective immediately, UTVs will no longer be required to run mudflaps. All UTVs will now be required to cover the windshield area with a rock guard. The attached document contains the new rule & a diagram. This is the same safety rule that has been in place for all trucks and buggies.
