1954/84 is out! Sure would like to overall 3x but I sold it and don't think I could pry it from the new owners hands. Best of luck to everyone racing. If you have a chance to do the prerun... Do It! It was the only time I could slow down and really enjoy the views!:D

Hopefully Justin does not Tear out BITD car up this weekend at rd4 of WORCs:) We had some serious misfortune on our brand new WORC car last night:(

The drawing for starting positions is this Wednesday and the race is only 19 days away! Can't wait.

If you have never raced the Silver State 300, it is wild. We start right behind the bikes and ATV's at around 6 am. Then there is a 3 hour gap they they unleash the Trophy Trucks/Class 1's and everyone else! It takes place in eastern Nevada and goes through some truely epic country. Tons of elevation change, water crossings, fast and scenic! If it is like years past you actually drive on a elevated train tressle coming into Caliente.

Good stuff!

I can't wait we are going to hopefully test the car in barstow sat and then we will be dialed and ready to go, sounds like a fun race! :D

Well the drawing for starting positions was supposed to be today. Anybody heard anything? I can't find anything on the BITD site.

Staggs,

Do you race that Rhino in this race? I've got a pretty quick and well built Rhino but wondering if many Rhinos can finish and compete in a race like this? I'm a rook at BITD but am interested in getting out there.
this is what my rhino looks like now, this will be the longest race I have raced it in but out of the few BITD races I have attended etc there is a few rhinos and yes they do finish one finished vegas to reno last year!. So I have mostley done short course in the rhino and a few short desert races and grand prixs,WORCS etc but it definatley can. So if your beast meets the rules of BITD then you should give it a run. So we will see how it goes.

Prepping my car for some races so had some questions. Not sure if I should race this Rhino or start over with an XP4. $$$$$$$.

If your Rhino is super reliable and you are new to BITD racing, then my recommendation is for you to race your Rhino in the sportsman class. You will have a blast and learn a ton. But if you question the reliability of your Rhino don't. It makes for a long day when you are broken down. Ultimately you will want something like a XP4 to race in the Pro class.

My 2 pesos

If you want to come out and enjoy racing BITD, Silver state can be a great race to start. It is not to rough, just make sure your Rhino is reliable. It will be much more enjoyable. Race sportsman, and then if you like it you can always move up or build another UTV and compete. Two years ago our rhino won SS 300.

I just got the F.I.P. and map in the mail today. The course looks really fun. A lot like last year but some new stuff thrown in also. Hats off to Casey! The Silver State 300 is one of my favorite races. Can't wait!
