Tech was a cluster... UTV Tech inspector didn't show up until 3:30pm on Friday. Half of the field went through the regular car and truck tech.

Cory needs to figure out if he is going to race or tech. Holding everyone up all day is not acceptable.
In my opinion, BITD should either run the UTVs through normal tech or get someone else to do it.

All I will say is: If tech is posted to be open from ? to ? (whatever the time may be) then there should be someone there to tech the cars. Every team spends a great deal of time planning for these events and if they have arranged their schedule and are counting on tech-ing during a particular window there shoule be someone there to accomodate them. I mean, what if you had a golf tee time or something? I don't care if we tech through BITD or UTVRA but if we are going to tech through BITD then I really don't see any reason to be required to belong to the UTVRA for another $150 per season. BITD is always on schedule! UTVRA should be held to the same standards .

Last race I went to the tech never showed up and the tech's buddy did the tech!

My vote would be to have BITD tech the UTV's. They are already doing tech on everything else, so why not UTV's. I don't think our class(s) would be any harder to inspect than other limited classes such as 7200, stock full, 5/1600, etc.
I am with JX BS in that we put a lot of planning, time and $$$ into this stuff and should be able to get our stuff through tech and contingency with the same speed as the other racers.
BTW, why aren't the UTV points up on the BITD site? I am not bagging on Casey at all because I love the way he puts on races and embraces UTV's. But...is this loosely tied to the tech issue?

Ill speak up for everyone. Fucd UTVRA. Take our money and try to use it to win. Its not gonna help in your prep. BITD should tech us 110% of the time for now on!!

You guys are bunch a Whisle Dicks! I have gone well out of my way to accomadate almost every UTV team that has raced with BITD in the last 5 years. Staying late at tech, teching in staging, providing teams with items needed to pass tech, going to shops to pre-tech, answering 1000's of questions, allowing UTV'S to tech without having to wait in line, I could go on, but I think you all can think of more than 1 time that I went out of my way to help you.
BITD has 3 or 4 tech guys for all the cars and trucks they could never provide the kind of personal service that I have. In 5 years I have provided a great service to all UTV teams. The UTVRA does not make a profit, I spend my own money to fund it. I am like most of BITD's staff a Volenteer!
At V to R my Ford truck broke. I contacted BITD at 8am on thursday told them about my problem. We decided to give the UTV racers a choice to go through the car\truck tech or wait for me to get there. No UTV team was required to wait.
