LPNF Adopt A Trail Pre-Season RIDE & TENT Trip 4/27-4/28

Hey guys, are we going to do the Miller Jeep Trail? I've seen some vids on Youtube and am wondering if my stock RZR 570 will have enough ground clearance (10") for the rocks?

Miller Jeep trail camp and ride will be sometime this summer. This weekend is only a couple easy to moderate trails. We are doing a trail condition report and any needed maintenance before they officially open the gates to the public. But, the Miller Jeep trail is fun, and your stock 570 will be fine. I've taken stock Rhino's up there without too much carnage;)

OK,
Met with Ranger. We will have gate codes/keys ready for us Saturday morning. We are going to take our trucks to the camping area, which is "Grizzly Flats". It's a very cool place to camp where you can see the valley and touch the stars at night. You will need to bring your own water still, and use Mike B's mcgyver porta poopy he is bringing. Its gonna be fun, trust me. You can tent or sleep in your truck. This is going to be a "no rush" relaxed over nighter with some cool trail maintenance and GPS stuff. I ran into another club today starting their trail prism reporting and maintenance on some of the other trails and the weather is looking to be very nice. Cool at night (40's), and upper 60's during day.

The miller jeep trail is adopted by a jeep club and the the gate are closed right now , so we should be doing trail reports and maintenance on the trail we adopted on this trip .

As for your stock 570 your belly will rub , when you get a chance you might want to invest in to a better skid for the bottom. I have had a aluminium one and now I have 3/8 plastic type which I prefer .

Mike B's mcgyver porta poopy , Does Mike need any thing to help with his throne? Also are there tables ?

No tables. Im bringing one. If anyone else wants to bring one, that would be cool

I have two tables in my trailer. Also if any one wants to sleep in the enclosed trailer you are welcome too. I will be sleeping in the back of my truck. Cant wait to go

Randy Here's a pix of Slacker on the miller jeep trail ( which were not doing this week end ) just to give you a idea of the trail , but your car would do fine and after market skid would be a plus .

But there always some one to give a hand if needed .

Don't let Rich scare you off with these pictures Randy. He always does that to people who are thinking of joining the group, I don't know why, he might not want to share Larry. That picture is like the one below, shows that I take the fun way any chance I get, there's an easier path in that spot. Geez Rich....:D:D

About camping. Where are we staging our trailers?

Larry Dave 's post #202 below . Car trailers will be at camp/staging area , toy haulers wont make it to my understanding . If you need help with something PM me or give me a call .

Ummmm, yea,,,Rich and Chris...........you aint helping my confidence , lol!:D

Is all good, I did a nice ride at Rockfront yesterday with JohnPeq who has ridden with you folks. We are prepping for ROTR in May.

It looks like there is plenty of food for Sat nite with the dogs and chili, so perhaps I'll bring some salad and dressings.

Crazy Larry,
Your trucks and UTV trailers will fit at the camping/staging spot, not toy haulers.
We are meeting at Ranger station between 8:30am and 9am. You can also meet at Big Johns at 7:30am. We are going to have to caravan our trucks up the mountain with our trailers, which shouldnt take more than 30 minutes or so. We will need to stop to open some gates.
Im bringing my generator (Its quiet), in case anyone needs to charge up phones or cameras Saturday night, and for Rich's hair dryer :D

Ranger said to sprinkle bacon-bits around your tent at night, as this seems to repel bears. I got a Cost-Co sized bacon-bit jar for you Larry, just in case:)
