Man !!! what just happened here?
I started this thread to help organize the Underground camp and let folks know what was going on and where we'd be so we could all camp together.
I don't see anything wrong with Jeff and others going in together on a generator for the week.
As for the signs, Jeff asked for name in Kyle's thread. I suggested one. Never heard anything one way or the other on what he decided to call it. He's making the signs, his call. Just need to know what to tell folks.
C'mon, It's KOH let's go have a great time together.

Papa Bear, no one was being excluded. Jeff has our back as much as anyone. Jeff has a large group of friends well beyond the reach of our site here therefor he is not going to cater to only us, nor should he. He by no means was trying to make it seem as if UTVUG was not "in" with him. If that was the case then he would not have extended the offer to have power for a few people. Please, calm down, there was no "gorilla in the room that I saw or felt or whatever.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I am hoping to be there Wed. morning!

can't blame the guy for renting a large generator to power multiple rigs and asking here if anyone was interested to help share the costs. I see no harm or foul in what Jeff did or is trying to do.

Jeff did nothing wrong, not even Jim was offended at his post and nor should he have been. This thread was in the La Familia section but all of the UTVUnderground (along with many outside of the site as Jeff was getting at) was and were already discussing this trip and many have been since last years trip where we all camped together in this location.
Papa Bear, I love you and all you do and that goes without being said as you know, but you are a little out of line here by calling Jeff out as you have done. I say that with all due respect, please do not take it anything other than me simply looking out for Jeff and the intentions I know he had by posting which are truly genuine. PLEASE do not het upset by my posting, I think part of being a family is we can all say things we dont all agree with all the time and still get along!!

I was not ignoring Jim. Somewhere I asked what you wanna call it. I was actually considering getting a city limits sign like I have had made every year for Hammertown with what ever name was thrown out there. As a courtesy to Joey because I thought he might get a kick out of it. I don't come here ever day, or even every week. I just happened to drop in today to see in extra large yellow type what a jerk I am for stealing your camping spot.
Truth be told I had no idea which forum I was posting in because I use the home page to browse UTV underground and not the forums page. sorry if this was a La Familia only deal.
I sold KOH because I did not want the drama, My intention is to enjoy this race for a change after 6 years of busting my ass. The last thing I want to do is camp in an environment that creates chaos.
That being said KOH makes it tough to find people. I have had to spend hours helping people who have left on a trail ride only to return to a vastly different campsite view, making locating their camp spot nearly impossible. My intention is to make it easy for the people from multiple sources to find the camp I am setting up. Like it or not, I am setting up in that location, unless of course someone beats me to it.
Some of the people I know are on UTV underground, some are on Pirate4x4, some are on RiverDavesplace, and some are on facebook. Some are my clients and still even more are friends I have made in the 6 years of hosting the event, and will no doubt like to stop in and throw back a cold drink and talk about racing. It is going to be really easy for me to say turn at Campo Carrera. Carrera is the name of my company and most will recognize it as such from the Ultra4 world.
My intention was not to take over your camp Papabear. My intention was to allow your camp an easy to see landmark. There is no possible way anyone could hold that much space for three days. This year the lakebed will start to fill up by Weds the 1st of Feb.
You don't seem like a very likeable person on the web, but I am sure we are all different in person. Like I said in my post earlier today. Call it what ever you like, put up what ever sign you like, fly what ever flag you like and above all make sure you have a great time, but if you need a landmark to tell people how to get to that location Tell them to turn left at Campo Carrera dr.

Joey I am not offended and I don't feel I called anyone out? It is like family "La Familia" and I didn't post anything on his threadI posted here in the La Familia section talking about our camp and what everyone voted here to call it! The Underground! If I pass someone on the trail and give them a hand sign as to how many people are behind me and the guy waves back, I just think he doesn't know, but I also thing Dumb Shit! But hope that some day they get it
La Familia is more than Just a name we call ourselves it is a way of life and how we treat each other! The one thing we all have in common is our love for each other and Off-Road! The Underground is our Home and where we are should be The Underground!
All good both of you... I will laugh when we are all standing around a raging camp fire, music pumping, cocktails flowing and we are all having a great time!

I’ve been to two LF rides so far and I got to say in the past decade of pitting with groups across this country at races like this I never seen anything like it. The brother love is incredible, as Jim said at Soboba to me when I went to shake his hand, “we don’t shake around here we hug”, Cisco same thing, Earnesto same thing, George same thing, etc. I’m beginning to feel gay! J/K! And the party’s rock! I love to dance and broke the mold of dancing alone ten years ago, most guys don’t dance or care to much about what people think, not these guys they don’t care!! The food pot lucks I’m told bring something if you can otherwise eat. Point being it is those family values and core I think PB is trying to protect, make sure stays intake, and grows read his intentions not words, it really is like no other take it from me. That’s why we call him “Papa Bear”.
I’ll be there Thursday eve –Sun. I have 4 outdoor 110 volt outlets free power offered to anyone that needs it. Only way it will sell out is when the 20 amp breaker blows. Also an outdoor/indoor shower, two empty heated queen beds in back, blankets, grill, all sorts of tools, fluids, all yours for free. I'll join George in passing out cocktails and I always pass out premo cigars if you smoke.....That's what La Familia is all about!
Jim do you have RCA audio-video outs? I was going to look for a wireless so we can pump it over to me for 4 more outdoor speakers and another video screen.

Where are you camped? Just past the bridge on the left?
I wouldn't mind having a place to park since I can only do day trips on Sunday and next Friday.
