it looks like a 02 r1 motor if its a r1... the newer ones are all black... mine is an 02. you not going to have reverse?

We will have reverse....just not right now - it will be easy to add on. Mostly we are getting it together and making sure the drive train holds up to abuse. This is going to be a cool machine, though.....we have a lot of good ideas that are long overdue! :) I call it my "SR1" :)

This will be a short course racer....and a dez racer when applicable! :)

No...not currently....but we have some ideas if testing goes well.

If anything, we'd like to go the other way and see a true spec class - limits on everything, affordable for most, and much more of a drivers class over a suspension/motor class. We'll see how testing goes first....

If we want to have descent car counts this is exactly the kind of thing we need to be thinking about.

I do have mixed feelings about true "SPEC" classes though.

spec classes are a slippery slope. if it is done correctly and has strict rule enforcement, with clearly spelled out rules, it can be very fun. most other spec classes are started by a builder who wants you to buy from them and only them, so they taylor the rules to their car only.

Exactly my concern .. well said .

True spec classes typically only work if there is a manufacturer or sponsors that put significant resources behind it in the way of prize money or TV exposure .

The Bullydog/Superlite deal is one example that looks pretty attractive.

I think everyone would love to see Yamaha, Polaris, or Kawasaki get behind a spec class and help propel UTV Racing! How awesome would it be if Polaris / Robby Gordon got behind a RZR-S Spec Class?? Or Kawasaki / Monster Energy Teryx Class?? Yamaha / Maxxis Rhino Class?? I would kill for a stock / Spec Class that puts everyone on an even playing field.

But Back on Topic......Corry, MORE PICS!!!!
