Anyone have a used plastic roof that will fit the XPT 1000? I don't want to shell out for new as I'm going to do the cage soon. Also, how are folks mounting their radios? I see a lot of installs in the center storage box. Isn't that prone to heat and maybe a little water?

Hi Dan. I took out the center storage box and installed my radio in that area. Keeps it up above the floor more. I used a bracket from PCI radios

I have a plastic roof from my 4 seater that might be customizable to use if you want. It looks like the front piece would work.

Both PCI and Rugged make the mounting brackets for the center storage area. I would remove it and mount the radio there. No wires exposed and there is a hole in the back to feed the wires.

O.k. Thanks for the pictures. That's kind of how I had it mounted in my last ride. I like it up there. It keeps it dry and has good airflow. Got a picture of the front piece?

Do you mean the housing that the radio and intercom are mounted in? I think I have some from when I installed it in my 2013. I'll look. I bought it from rugged.

Edit: It doesn't look like rugged carries them any more. They might have one laying around somewhere
