Halloween Weekend at Glamis North is all about the kids. Cal and Ros invited my family back (post Endless Summer Party)for a fun filled weekend.

The planned activities include a downhill trike race, HEY Ride, Costume contest for kids and adults (adults get a free beer for dressing up) haunted house and trick or treating.

This morning we got up and headed to Sassys Cafe for some of her famous pancakes and then we hit the trail.

We headed 15 miles south to Slab City (google it). Slab city is a small hippy, free living community that survives completely off the grid. There is a massive mountain that was hand painted over the course of 25 years. I am posting this from Salvation Mountain.

You would be surprised the food is pretty good and nice and big portions. I am trying to figure out a good weekend to get out there. I go at least twice a season.

I used the Motion X app on my phone to waypoint the mountain and then I just zoomed in and took a screen shot. Then loaded it using TapaTalk.
