folks - yes, it does sound pretty crazy but I'm hoping somebody can help. I suffer from severe allergies in April & May here in the northeast. Medication stopped working 8 years ago so I'm either home-bound a 100% for 8 weeks or can be creative and take my bicycle out for rides and accidentally found these forced air helmets. The only issue is tree pollen which is in full boom during these two months
I'm trying to understand how forced air filters work. From what I have researched, it seems the filter connects to the helmet with a hose. Wearing a 5lb helmet isn't an issue for me even though it won't be super comfortable obviously. Can I use a 4ft hose and mount the air filter in the luggage rack? If not, I can perhaps tie it around my back if the hose needs to be shorter. Does anybody know of a good quality filter that keeps out all the pollen?
Thx
