6/12/12 El Cajon, CA – Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park was the venue for Round 3 of the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series on Saturday, June 9, 2012. Mild temps along with moderate winds made for a great weekend.
The weekend started off with Bryan Osborn, driver of the #1 Black Rhino SR1, feeling very ill but he managed to make it out on the track for practice on Friday. That was it for the weekend though and Kenny Osborn, owner of Black Rhino, was able to find a last minute replacement driver, Sheldon Creed. Creed had never driven an SR1 but was up for the task. On Saturday qualifying he set the fastest lap on lap four, ultimately qualifying on the pole for the main later that day. During the main, Creed battled it out with the #825 of Fishback for 1st but by lap six he took the lead and held on until the end putting Black Rhino on the box for 1st. Osborn sits 3rd in Championship Points.
Gary Thompson in the #802 Thompson Roofing SR1 had a 3rd place car all weekend and finished 3rd in the main giving Black Rhino a double on the podium for Round 3 in the SR! Class. Thompson is 2nd in Championship Points.
Jessie Morgan in the #854 Black Rhino SR1 bicycled in practice on Friday in turn three but was able to regain her composure and keep going. In Saturday’s race mechanical failure on lap four took her out of the race.

Morgan ended the day with a 6th place finish and 8th in Points. “Thanks to all of my supporters, you make a difference and give me confidence. I had such a rad time; even though I didn’t win it’s great to be able to reach the goals I set for myself.†Morgan said.
Brandon Blyth in the #842 broke in Lap 5 of the main event when he came off the tabletop ending his day with a 5th place finish. Blyth is 7th in Championship Points.
In the J1 Karts, Jaydn Winbury in the Wagon Burners #202 qualified 6th and finished 8th in the main. He sits 4th in Championship Points.
Dylan Winbury driving the #469 Wagon Burners J2 Kart qualified 4th and went on to win it all with a 1st place podium finish in the main. Dylan sits 3rd in Championship Points.
The team at Black Rhino congratulates all of the drivers. Drivers needing help with logistics or more info can contact Kenny Osborn at 619-561-5000 or email him at BlackRhinoKenny@gmail.com.

Ha ha, sorry Ronnie but I'm not good with multitasking. Here is my post from Face Book, which by the way you should be on;

Just wanted to give everyone an update on Bryan. Some were concerned that he may have crashed racing this weekend when they heard he was in the hospital.

Bryan got sick with a bad sore throat about a week ago. He went to urgent care and they gave him a prescription. Friday at the race track his throat was getting worse, but he still drove the final practice of the day. He woke up around 2:00 AM and Theresa took him to a local urgent care where they gave him a couple of shots.

Saturday morning Bryan made the decision that he would not race but wanted his race car on the track because everyone had worked so hard adjusting it for this new track. I made a call to Scott Creed and he agreed to let his son Sheldon to drive for Bryan and Black Rhino. Sheldon won every event of the day for Bryan and set fast lap times also. (Thank you Scott, Sheldon and Maurice).

Last night I took Bryan to Sharp/Grossmont Hospital where they did an MRI and found swelling from the roof of his mouth down the left side of his neck. Bryan had not been eating or drinking because it hurt to bad to swallow. They put him on IV’s and transported him to Children’s Hospital around 2:30 AM.

They are going to continue to treat with medication and hopefully it won’t require any surgery. Thanks for all the kind words, prayers and support and Bryan will be back racing soon.

Update; No surgery and Bryan was released today and is feeling much better.

Great news Kenny. Good to hear Bryan's good to go. We've been down that hospital road one too many times. It isn't fun and can be downright scary as hell.

Dan ...:)
