If you saw it I was being as careful as I could be but I locked on his bumper for a second. I barely tapped him just put a small hand size dent in his hood. The thing is class 11 doesn't have any protection so there's an unwritten rule never hit a class 11. Which i never heard of but makes perfect sense. It's no excuse but I didn't pay any attention to the car design so was just another car to me. Now I know won't touch one again. No question I was wrong. He shouldn't have rabitted either but I should have waited him out. I've said before nerfing is a bad idea for a lot of reasons. The response is usually a barrage of responses questioning manhood. This is a good example. I cracking his snorkel that he decided to run for 300 mi sucking dust so it's all my fault for hitting him in the first place....fine.
So let's switch gears what is the point of unwritten rules when you can easily insert a line into a rule book. The rule book is for people to read so they know what the rules are. That brings me to utvs. I understand why it's not ok to hit a 1800 lb class 11. Their small and can't take a hit from larger cars. Ok so why is it ok to hit a UTV? You won't hear hardly anyone on race dezert say and btw we have this unwritten rule about hitting utvs. These are small cars and we don't hit them or class 11 because it's not cool to risk hurting someone or ending their race. Nope it's just class 11. UTV are open season because they have a bumper. So 6000 lb truck vs 1800 lb UTV is fair game because of a bumper.....
Ok...........I’ve finally stopped laughing! Class 11 is a stock VW bug. It has the engine in the back. It is air cooled. The belt for it is in the very rear of the car. How many of them have you seen racing that have dents in the rear? Probably not too many. I never would have considered nerfing it. It doesn’t have any protection. Just common sense man!

Ok I know I put my neck out posting it but I'm relatively new to desert not new new but I just never heard of class 11 and always thought UTV was the most vulnerable out there besides bikes. Hence I figured all the rhetoric about UTV being fair game I never even considered there could be another class out there that should be treated different. I'm being honest I had no clue given the general prevailing attitude about nerfing. The guy had to see me coming and rabitted when I was on his tail even cut inside in a turn I could have passed him instead of going wide.....I was too close to him to go wide so I followed a ways more then I tapped him. End of story I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't know what class 11 is.....but they do now if they read this.
FYI, I barely touched this guy nothing like punts that leave golf ball size dents in chromoly which have been past topics of discussion. But I'm glad you got a good laugh out of it. At the end of the day I don't pretend to be perfect and it's not the first mistake I've made but I'm real and not full of bullshit. Btw I'm the only one that had video or even picture of the damage. The guy didn't have diddly squat. Took the car apart without taking a pic then complained which isn't the smartest move. I could have just hid behind no video it didn't happen but it did happen. Live and learn....I'll also help him out.

In your defense I never heard of this unwritten rule either George. UTVs started behind these guys for a long time in Baja and I never nerfed one but came close. Many of them were bad about jack rabbiting and if you are going to intentionally block I really dont car if I hurt your car.

If you catch any slower car with at least 1 really wide lane (very clearly available on the incriminating video) on either side of them, why not go around? He's not really in the way in the 3 other lanes available.

After we fixed a mechanical issue we had at race mile 17 I caught you shortly after getting back in the race.
I came up behind you and gave you the siren.
You looked back and took off running like a retard through a field of strawberries. It was comical at first then it just got annoying. After that I can see why JL had a habit of smashing your bumper.
By the way I don't think a class 11 can "Rabbit"

That's bs Wayne I was down a long time no UTV were behind me till the bottleneck. I decided to not wait and climbed the hill and the whole contingent of utvs behind me followed. That's the only time I saw utvs. If I "rabitted" it was to find a place to move over. Doesn't matter but this guy was blocking me where I could pass. The retard here is the one hanging off the balls of the utvug click many who weren't there. I was at least 1 hr behind you at RM 17.
