1922 Team South Motorsports, we traveled 1620mi one way to come race in the desert, this was our first race in the new car Polaris RZR XP1000, we came a day early to test the car a bit and dial in the suspension, View attachment 11544later that night we found the fuel filter stopped up with bits of foam from the fuel cell, worked late Friday night to clean out the fuel system and get ready for the race. View attachment 11545First 20 miles the car ran great, then we started loosing fuel pressure and the fuel pump was screaming, limped into the midway pit at about 5mph in low gear. We thought the fuel pump was going out and didn't have a spare, Thank you Mark Holz, he offered us a spare pump, although it turned out to just be stopped up again, changed the filter and we were off racing. Car ran flawless the rest of lap 1, we came in for a driver change and refuel, during the pitstop some fuel spilled on the header and caught fire. Special Thanks to the guys at Blue Torch Fab and Coastal Racing for responding in seconds with 4 fire extinguishers. Thanks to them the damage was only cosmetic and no one was injured. Thanks to our sponsors, Method Race Wheels, GMZ Race Products and Trail Armor. We've already started tearing the car down for repairs and will be back for the Mint400.View attachment 11546

It was nice meeting you guys at the start! Bummer to hear about the fire. Do yourself a favor and plum a filler neck over to the drive side of you car.:)

WITHOUT A DOUBT! We learned our lesson the hard way. Enjoyed talking with you as well.

307 Racing traveled a little over 1000 miles to race in the sportsman class in the 1999 wildcat x. Our goal was to finish the race and see how we stack up against the pros. We ran a fairly conservative race so we didn't break. We couldn't have asked for a better course. Very well marked and layed out. We finished first in sportsmans and 11th overall. We were very pleased with the results and are thinking about building the car to run in the pro class in a few other races. Thanks to all the racers!

Rough day for our team. 1917 was running awesome, until the driver lost talent and at mile 68 rolled the car at about 65mph several times. HUGE thanks to Kevin Shrive with One Gear Racing who was so awesome to stop check on us and even help pull the car right side up as it was blocking the road. We truly appreciate it and this shows their sportsmanship during a race. Congrats on the great finish.

Got 1917 back up and running after getting needed parts and finished but rough day!! 1907 still has some new car blues. We are working them out and that is what this race was all about.

Nice to see the big turnout, and looks like the Mint will be quite the event of 2014!! Its cool to hear the stories and see how our 1900 class has some of the best racers in the industry. Everyone helps each other, and its super competitive but we have the best racers in my opinion who will be there to support other teams when in need.

Congrats to the top 3 for making Parker look easy. Well done.

Dusty bitch especially after u went over the dyke at mile marker like 18 and turned back it was so dusty we seriously almost came to a crawl I couldn't see the front of my car...

When we went through that section on lap 2, my co-driver said "so that's what this area looks like". We literally could not see the front of our car for what seemed like forever on lap one, probably less than a half mile. :)

Well, as expected the Parker, Az desert was brutal! After battling a broken shock bolt, not once but 4 times! The Dragonfire Racing, Ride Now, Rockstar Racing, Rowdy Dawg Racing team was able to finish the race at the very last second before timing out. It was a tough day but my crew was amazing and my co-driver was driven. Without them I may have given up. Thank you so much to everyone that made this finish possible! Special thanks to Jagged X for the welder!
