XP1000 cage from Elite RaceWorks

I'm going to help you out a little. I'm pretty sure where the heartburn for Danny is coming from with your design is the rear bumper. See below.

Magnum, 1 year ago.

a
Elite last week.

Danny made that cage for my son to race at the Regionals well over a year ago.

Just something to consider.
I can understand my rear bumper came out fairly similar to the one on your 900.

They are different however, the tubing on mine is coped to the very corner. And the reason for the triangular center gusseting is to follow the lines of the tail lights.

My roll cage was RACE CAR (class 1) INSPIRED. I am sorry the bumper is fairly similar. Purely coincidence. These are 2 different models of cars though. And I WILL NOT change my design for something he did on a xp900.

I've never heard of you guys until you started all the s#!t talking. I built this cage with my own ideas! You must be upset because I can afford to sell MY work at a fairly affordable price!!!

Let's change the topic to you, your xp1000 cages are super original too. I can't tell the difference between you, tmw, or sdr!!

Provide me evidence of an XP1000 roll cage YOU BUILT, that looks identical to mine and I will prove you with a sincere apology for building a product that happens to resemble your work.

But until then, unless you have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. I have better things to do than argue with you over a forum.

Have a great day sir!!

The reason why you have never "heard" of us, is because you just got on the UTV BANDWAGON. We've been building UTV's since late in 2004 when the Rhino was INTRODUCED. The rear end if your "original", "class one" design was built on our shop Commander back in late 2010. Matter of fact, we helped FOUND this site that you are posting your knock-off cage pictures on. Yeah, THIS one!

You are right about one thing, I can't afford to drop my pants to make a quick buck. I own a REAL shop, with REAL employees, and have REAL overhead. This shop comes complete with INSURANCE, and a place for my customers to come when they need help or have a problem. It's people like YOU that make it difficult for REAL shops to sustain, and to keep turning out ORIGINAL, INNOVATIVE designs.

Thanks Doug, some people just don't get it. :D

I am done arguing with you over the internet. Its CHILDISH! I have too much work to be done than to sit at a computer all day. The roll cage orders are beginning to stack up! :D

im throwing in some cage pics from 2006-2008 for you.. i hope i wasn't "stealing" your designs back then too

Weird argument. Only so many ways to turn tubing into a roll cage. The whole discussion about how it looks is nonsense. I'm more interested in whether it'll keep me from getting hurt. Sacrifice strength so that it looks different and you have become dangerous.

My whole point exactly! I'm glad that some people DO get it:D. I take both safety and looks into consideration when I build ANYTHING. When cars are capable of more than 70mph, roll cage structure is 1st priority.

Finished another cage last night! This cage is our "Phoenix" model but has been modified from our design to meet the clients request.

I disagree with this. The photos below show the Magnums flat roof and tight radius bends give it a unique style.

I think you copied there rear bumper and knowing you that they didn't have a 1000 cage in production you copied it. The way you worded that "I'll apologies if you make a 1000 cage that looks the same" you already know they don't make a 1000 but you did see there rear bumper and liked it on another cage. At least that's what it looks like to me. I still like the design who ever made it.

I stated I would apologize for coincidentally building a similar bumper. We are not the only 2 companies that build a rear bumper with such design and style.

We honestly did not intend to build a product that resembles others. But like I've said before, there are only so many ways to can cut and bend tubing into a roll cage or bumper. And with as many people who are building utv products, it's inevitable that somebody else is going to have similar ideas without knowing it.

For example, magnums rzr doors that open, but have the "b pillar" gusset is very similar to doors I built on a canam maverick a year ago. And to my knowledge nobody had done functional doors to resemble solid race style doors before me.
