Wheel bearing

It's time for me to replace my front wheel bearings on my XP 900. Does anyone have a fix on new bearings that last longer than stock ? Also any tips on helping remove the clips would help !! Do the new bearings need to be pressed in or can you freeze bearing and heat hub ?

We tested a different set of bearings recently and they didn’t seem any better than the OEM bearing. They are cheaper tho. You need a large snap ring plier to get the snap ring out and I would highly recommend a press. As long as the bearing is I don’t think the freezing method would work.

I have had success with the freezing method installing new oem bearings.. old ones had to be pressed out. My local shop does it free takes them 5 minutes

Thanks guys, I've bent two pullers trying to get the clip out ( harbor freight shocker )just didn't want to get out and damage the new bearing trying to force it in.

Put the carriers in the oven at 200 for about 30 min and freeze the bearings. They will drop right in! You do have to beat the old ones out though, just be careful that you don't mare up the inside of the carrier doing so.
