And an Off Road tire repair kit!!! Buy those at ORW for less than $40!!!

you pack every thing is say if you dont bring it you will need it and if you need it you brought it.

So this turned into a pretty cool survival thread too. I had all the basics covered with wrenches and hammers, etc... the problem is with all the what ifs the tool bag is bigger than the teryx and almost weights as much... i guess when it comes to tools you can never have to many and that one you forget will always be the one that you need.

How often do you have to use that quart of Tranny Fluid in your Rhino?

Believe it or not my bag weighed about 10lbs and was small enough to fit int hat compartment under the seat...of course it was packed perfectly before our baja trip....I try to have everythign I need, like you said the one tool you need is the one you didnt bring!!

in all the years of off roading we have only needed fluids one time and it was prerunning in a big v8 powered buggy in baja and it was puking power steering fluid....I have never had to add fluid to my or any vehicle I have been in ont he trail...maybe I am just lucky?

It is good to pour a quart of tranny fluid into the gas tank every now and then.... Keeps the engine running cool. I pour a quart in my tank once a month.

Yep.... I add a quart of Type F Tranny Fluid everytime I fill up my gas tank. It gave me anouther 10hp and my motor runs cool....

J/K..... LOL.

No.... I was just messsing with Mike L..... I did a typo. It should of been diff fluid and I typed in tranny fluid....

I just thought it would be funner to say I put it in my gas....

But my grandpa put a quart of motor oil in the gas tank of his old Ford once a month. He told me that it lubricated the valves. He bought the truck new and had it forever. His truck had close to 300k miles on it when I sold it for him. I was never sure if he was pulling my leg or not... I am not a motor guy so I dont have a clue.

I wasnt going to say anything right away but I was going to have to tell you your CRAZY!!! LMAO

i carry enough beer in my cooler to last me the amount of time it takes for someone to rescue my ass!!! lol

Good thread idea!

As a sidenote I add a quart of ATF every few months to the fuel tank of my DMax.... its good for diesels.
