After a stellar showing at the 2013 Baja 500, the Pro UTV class decided to show the world of off-road that UTVs were here to stay, and in a huge way! Over 19 UTVs would take the green flag at the 2013 Baja 1000. Some would say this was the toughest Baja 1000 to date, others said no way a UTV could finish. Polaris factory teams Coastal Racing, Jagged X, and Cognito Motorsports took this as a direct challenge!
Not only did the UTVs finish, they finished in convincing fashion proving to everyone that UTVs are not only formidable machine to take on the worlds toughest off-road race, but also a machine that could complete this grueling challenge in a time frame that would be on par with some of the sports most elite racing classes!
