Bobby Vanbeekum Powering it Around the Corner!

First off I want to start by thanking every single racer, team, sponsor, and friend who supports us at UTVUnderground and what we do here. We really feel the love from all of you as we roam the pits, taking pictures, video, and just plain hanging out. We are stoked we get to do what we can to support your teams whether thats by just giving you all exposure via the site and print, or by shuttling you to the track and around the pits. You really make us feel awesome!!!

This weekend was filled with excitement for UTVUnderground and its supporting team drivers/teams. In the Unlimited UTV class we saw Austin Kimbrell get his 5th strait win on Saturday and then saw his fellow Monster Energy Kawasaki teammate Chad George grab the top of the box on Sunday! Austin would grab 3rd on Sunday after a small part failure would put him down on power for most of the race. Chad grabbed 3rd on Saturday. Needless to say the points race is heating up in the Unlimited class right now!

It was also special to get to see one of our biggest supporters Tyler Winbury grab second place on Saturday with a fantastic weekend all the way around. Tyler put a good showing in on Sunday as well but ended up in 4th after putting his Wagon Burner Kawasaki Teryx on its side near the end of the race.

Another HUGE supporter of UTVUnderground and who we consider the first supporting UTVUnderground Unlimited UTV racer Bobby VanBeekum was able to overcome a drivetrain issue on saturday to come back and Battle all the way to the checkered flag on sunday with Chad George to capture a second place finish! Needless to say this was a big weekend for Kawasaki Teryx racers.

In the SR1 class we saw one of our favorites Code Rahders capture the #1 spot on Saturdays race. Slicing his way through some seriously rough traffic Code was able to get a win. Code would get hit with some bad luck (as did a lot fo racers over the weekend) and would end up getting put out of the race on Sunday due to a collision causing his lower driver side ball joint to snap.

And then we move on to Tyler Herzog! What more can we say then this guy is for real. Tyler's Ivy Trucking/Weller SR1 Rhino looks like it has been through war, and in fact it has. After a really bad wreck on Saturday bending his front bulkhead and causing for an almost entire rebuild of the front half of the car Tyler came back on Sunday and put on a SR1 clinic! I want to give a personal thank you to Tyler's team manager and owner Brian from Ivy Trucking for his donation to UTVUnderground.com this weekend. Brian understands the hard work we are putting in and his contribution to the Underground team is very much appreciated. He and their XMF teamates work hard to keep Tyler in a vehicle that he can go out and drive hard in, and Tyler's preperation and driving skills have rewarded all of their hard work. We are pumped to be a part of IVY Trucking's effort in the SR1 class and we look forward to watching Tyler haul the mail late into the LOORRS season.

Rounding out the SR1 division for UTVUnderground this weekend was Gary Thompson and Bronco Dan Kelly. Gary was able to squeek out of Saturdays pin ball race with a 3rd place finish after battling some major motor mount issues. Gary's motor was shaking and baking but not the way Ricky Bobby intended. But Gary proved that sometimes staying on the track and limping your car across the line is all it takes to score a podium finish.

Bronco Dan Kelly who really has had one of the roughest seasons of any racer in the UTV division worked himself into a solid performance on Sunday. He jammed around that track like a wild animal powering his MUZZYS SR1 Rhino into the 3rd position where he would hang on and finish.

Thank you again to all of you out there running our stickers and supporting the Underground. We plan to continue to reward you all with the coverage you deserve and hope for. And to those of you who werent able to score that podium appearance, keep plugging away! Speedworld will be here before we know it so get those cars fixed and prepped!! See you all in Arizona!!!

I need to toss something else out there. UTVUnderground has not only huge support from the racers, teams, and sponsors out at the track. We also have founders and members supporting us at the events helping us out as well. Rusty5150 is a fellow UTVUG founder and he is like my right hand man when running aorund the pits. He is like another set of eyes, ears, and hands and he does a ton to help this site continue to be the best UTV related site there is. I also want to thank Dan aka OffRoadSwapMeet who also totes his camera and comes and hangs with us. He too is a huge reason this site keeps moving forward. We also had another huge help this weekend in the form of Justin Dawes of JustinDawesPhoto.com. Justin is one of the most talented photogs in the industry and while he was out there on assignement with Kawasaki this weekend he also took his spare time to go do special photo shoots for TKUnderground with Brian Deegan and the Metal Mulisha as well as for Tyler WInbury and the Wagon Burner family. Thank you to all those guys!!

Geez...Dan hit Tyler Winbury, too? Is there anyone he DIDN'T hit?? Maybe he should try a little control....it's free. (yes, I'm a tad bitter.....)

Great pics - can't wait to see them all!

Corry, you definitley had the bad luck cloud following you but like I said at the track. When you turn it on, there are few that can match your speed and finess. Keep plugging away! You deserve a ride in a truck!!

Awesome pictures as usual guys. Thanks again to all the other utv teams that helped me get my car back on the track for sundays race.
