I'm gonna get a set up here real soon. I'm gonna go with Hiper due to a good hook up I have on them..

Here's the thing, my car runs a Lonestar long travel kit.. Mts stage 2

Im thinking a 12'' sbl will be fine, but what offset? And also what's a good light tire?

Any help is appreciated

Light might be good, but if you have the HP, don't overlook rotating mass, it can definitely be your friend! ITP BajaCross' are heavy, but there's something to be said about stable sidewalls and 8 plys when you're jumping and turning hard rolling onto those front tires.

Think hard before you buy, you might like it better.

Dan ...

Bajacross are way too heavy for short course.

Hiper wheels are light and work great just make sure you assemble them properly or you will be plagued with tire pressure loss.

Lots of guys are running GBC Mongrels these days and love them. There is grooving being done to increase traction and reduce weight.

Maxxis Ceros have been popular with UTV and SR1 teams for a while now.

Now if I dig deep into my old LOORRS memory, the ITP Holeshots were extremely popular amongst racers due to their weight. However, they wore out quickly so fresh tires were needed for optimum traction. These would not work well for WORCS racing.

I guess I should have asked, what type of short course racing are you talking about?

If you are interested, I have a almost new set of hyper, 12 inch, 4+2, and 5+2, that has only been run one time. $600 shipped. I am going desert racing.

Lucas regional (loors) mostly tooele ut but ill hit Reno too.. I'm just going with friends at this point, it's kinda there show..

As of now my car is a build turbo car so I'm going to have some work to do..

As for rotating mass. I should have that covered with these monster Turner cycles axle that go with my lt kit..

I'm kinda cought between a rock and a hard place.. I could pull my motor and build if for short course, or just pick up another car..

Any ideas or help is appreciated.. I come from a quad background so the sxs is all new to me..
