Stock Roll Cage Safety

Is the stock ROPS Certified roll cage safe enough in a roll over. I have been told by a fab shop to change it and told by another there is nothing wrong with it. I have a 2011 Ranger.

The feds mandated that the ROPS (Roll Over Protective Structure) has to pass certain tests with the new UTV's. They will with stand basic roll overs with out crushing, but If your doing more than basic normal everyday joy riding (i.e jumping, racing, hard duning or serious rock crawling) you may want to consider investing in a new cage. Knowing me and how I ride, I would remove the stock one, and for added safety add at least four point harnesses.
Just my .02.

It depends on the use of your UTV. Are you cruising the farm like they were designed to do or are you running in the desert? They call it a roll cage but it's more of a tip over cage. I would replace it with a good cage that has the correct bracing and cage design to protect your family. There are many companies on this site that could help you with a new cage design.
