Jason and I are coming out to Elsinore next weekend for the second round of the SR1 Championship Series - who's in?? Brandon, I know you have been prepping....I've got some work do to on the Honey Badger after the last weekend of racing, but it'll be ready to go! Jason is in love with his new SR1, so I KNOW he's ready - lol!! Nelson won Round 1, so I'm sure he's in.....

Just keep the rain away and we should have a good, fun track!! :)

I'll be ready to go and can't wait to get back on the Elsinore track! Also, I just checked the weather and it looks like a sunny 70 degrees....

ON THE CHIP 2

Corona, CA- April 01, 2014

Hello everyone, and welcome to On The Chip 2. We’re heading to the world famous Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park for Round 2 of the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series, presented by Kartek. It has been half a year since the drivers have raced Lake Elsinore and they are itching to hit the massive jumps, rhythm sections, and big bowl turns. We are expecting a great turn out as the Beehive 9 1400 Championship kicks off and the Optima Batteries SR1 Championship will visit So Cal. Carnage and door-to-door battles are the themes for this round as drivers get their programs dialed in with hopes of winning the coveted 2014 championship title. The Optima Batteries green flag will kick off the highly anticipated Round 2 of the So Cal Regional Series on Saturday April 5th.

The Beehive 9 1400 Championship and the Optima Batteries SR1 Championship series are making their first appearance in So Cal for a 3 round series. The Beehive 1400 is a fan favorite and the desert racers always put on a great show. The Optima Batteries SR1 Championship is expected to bring 15-18 SR1s to the track. The SR1s are some of the fastest vehicles on the track matching Pro Lite speeds. Racers and fans alike will be treated to the exciting action packed weekend at the So Cal Series.

Some of the drivers have already dialed in their programs for the season and are aiming to take the first place trophys home and to keep the number 1 position in the points. Madix Bailey is a driver that we will see big things from this year. He took the #1 spot in Junior 1 Kart class in round 1 and is coming to back to Lake Elsinore looking to hold on to the top spot. Hailie Deegan is another driver with #1s across the board as she took the win at both the regional and national events. Hailie is determined to take home the championship title for the second year in a row in the Junior 2 Kart class. After coming off a win at the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series, Pro Buggy driver, Chad George, took home two second place finishes at both rounds of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series and is anxious to bring home another win in the Pro Buggy division on April 5th. We will see many intense races as some of the top contenders in LOORRS are also racing the So Cal Regional Series. The competition is fierce but the Regional Series continues to provide a fun, family friendly environment that everyone can enjoy.

Stay tuned for more On The Chips before every So Cal regional race. See you at the races!

I think Jason and Ken are working on getting an "SR1 pit block" at Elsinore - meaning, we can all pit near each other, if we want.....we will be leaving here REALLY early Fri morning and will be practicing on Friday and racing on Saturday! Looking forward to some camping at the track this time, too!
