So after a long day at the Lucas Oil races on Friday myself and owner of Mad Media Matt Martelli headed to dinner in Temecula at Hana Sushi. We had a rad dinner and upon returning to my truck which was parked in front of the restaurant we realized both of our laptop bags had been stolen. After looking we found my driver side lock had been punched in. The thieves made off with both of our new 15" Apple MacBook Pro laptops as well as numerous other electronic devices including an iPad, At&t myfi device, Dr.Dre iBeats headphones and much more. More than $5,000.00 in electronics had been lifted! Sucks so bad!!

Anyway, I maybe a little slow on updates over the coming days as I work to replace all of my equipment.

Thieves never prosper...
 
I have the iCloud set up so that I can track my Laptop. However unlike the iPhone which stays connected to the network unless turned off the Macbook can only be tracked when online. I was able to remotely lock the computer and send the perp a message when he did login to the internet which he did do that night at midnight. He received the message I sent, the computer was locked and as confirmation I received an email and noticed my computer had been renamed to "Jorge's Macbook Pro".

Since he did not reply to my message via email I now have set the computer to be WIPED of all its data the minute he logs back into the internet which I don't know is even possible since I have already password locked the computer... Apple is pretty savy. Our next step is tracking the ip address. I would love nothing more than to find this POS...
 
That sucks Joey. My sister in law had her iphone stolen from Lucille’s restaurant a few months back. She had the tracking device on the phone as well and was able to get the phone back.

I hope you get your stuff back Joey. Good luck and I hope those bastards get what's coming to them! :mad:<O:p</O:p
 
Early into my buisness venture I had my computer stolen.No back up,CAD drawlings out the A$$ were gone.Including some customers CAD files I was working on at the time.Nothing was found,K9 tracked them to the alley behind my shop where they hopped in thier car.This was all done in a 10min. window with me standing out front of the shop checking out a customers car. Sorry for your luck. Hope you get your stuff back!
 
My wife was at a bar with her friends in Temecula just down the street from Hana Sushi and someone broke into her car and stole her radio/dvd player on Friday night. It may be the same crew. She did not report it though.
 
This sucks Joey. Get the report filed on everything you have a serial# for.
Putting the SOB's in possession of stolen property requires the numbers.
For that kind of money I believe 496 is still a felony.

Probably is for sure. What kind of car was she in. She should report it just so they have something on file... These a-holes need to pay!
 
That sucks! Sorry to hear the bad news......there's nothing worse than people who steal. Karma will take care of them though. And luckily Apple is pretty savy like you said so they should be able to track him down eventually!
 
I've learned the hard way in life too u can't trust anyone they will steal anything and everything. I just wish someday I could catch a thief in the act and take justice in my own hands :mad:
