1922 is loaded up and ready to go! We're leaving Memphis tomorrow at noon.
Team South Motorsports
If I were a betting man (and I am), I would bet that if the Murray's have no issues, and they are running old reliable I hear, that they will be hard to beat. They just showed up at the IV 250, with no pre running or knowledge of the course, and took the victory away from us after all the effort we put in leading up to the event. The X guys are always there, but I think their confidence may be rocked a bit as of late. But their cars are well engineered, and they are always a major threat. Still can't bet against the 1913 of Sims. Damn that car is well mannered. Based on what little video I've seen from the Mint, that car is set up pretty soft, but balanced. It may be a bit tipsy in the hard corners though. Are you racing Baja this year Branden?
The Cognito guys are due for a win as well. I know Justin has to be tired of being the bridesmaid, and their new car is built with a wealth of experience. Next to the 1913 car, Coastal Racing has one of the best handling and quickest short wheelbase cars out there.
Wow, I wish I could watch the action. Good luck to everybody, and may the underdogs have a good race. Wouldn't it be cool to see Lansky or Leticia battling for a podium late in the day?
We're really anxious to race wheel to wheel with you in the rough before the seasons end. I'm not afraid to lose to a better car if that's the case, but the Monster Mav is in pretty good form right now, and with Marc driving, it'll be a tough fight for any who challenge. He's flying in late Friday from a business trip, otherwise we'd be there taking spy photo's of all the top guys this weekend! I love "borrowing" ideas from the well built cars, and admit it unashamedly. In my current build, I plan to use ideas that I got from the X guys' front spindles, and Lansky's steering rack set up as well. I am flattered when I see others incorporating what I've done on our car into their builds. Relax, 'cause it's all been done before fella's!I would love to race the 500, but I have dedicated the funds that I have put away towards BITD this year. If I can figure out a way to make it happen I would love to do it! If I can find some pit support and some other support it's not out of the question. Let me see what I can do!

Good luck with it, and I hope it all works out for you. Another podium this weekend will serve you well.Well I can tell you mine is as stock as can be besides the Lonestar Long Travel, Fox Shocks, my cage work and any other fabricated part. I have a heavy right foot, fantastic driving skills, and I'm not scared.... So I guess that's my advantage. I would love to race with you guys also! Let me see if I can find some backing for the Baja 500

good luck to everyone, be safe, have fun and keep in mind im only a shit ton of plumbing and electrical away from wishing to see you guys in my rear view mirror LOL.see ya there
have all plumbing(air gas and water)plus all the electrical.so , not this time.but will be on the side lines with swingarmTony are you racing?
Reid, why would their confidence be rocked? They have won the last 4 or 5 BITD races IN A ROW! hahahhah
There about as nervous as a coon dog passing a peach pit! They haven't had any real competition until now

Pressure Joey. Collectively, their UTV desert racing program is being threatened. They have been a pretty effective and efficient machine for some time now. I'll go out on a limb and say that championships have come fairly easy to date for them, comparatively speaking. How much more can they step it up? On the contrary, the competition, who has been grossly inefficient by comparison, has been steadily raising their game race by race. Make no mistake about it, the Jagged X team is not racing for fun like other teams. Do they have fun doing it? Who wouldn't enjoy driving the top UTV out there, but what wins on Sunday (Saturday for us off-road dirt bags!) sells on Monday. I wont even wager a guess on how much money they spend to win races and championships, but I'm guessing it's way more than any other team in UTV desert racing history.Reid, why would their confidence be rocked? When us or most any other team has problems on Saturday, we'll talk about it over a beer on Sunday. No pressure. When The X guys have problems on Saturday, they talk about it Monday morning in the boardroom (please, no frivolous corrections like, "You're wrong. They talk about it on Wednesdays, not Mondays", or "They don't even have a board room"!) It used to be, in any class, that the smaller teams win because the bigger teams break. Period. Now, things are changing a bit. That once wide gap is now narrowing down. The bean counters at Polaris, whose job it is to quantify cost per win ratio, will start to see an unfortunate shift in those numbers. I don't pretend to know the chain of command at Polaris, but it is my guess that pressure will start increasing from above to perform better, and it's got to be difficult to make a Bentley more accommodating than it already is, right?
I don't know what the #1913 team spends to race, but I do know that it is a fraction of what the X team does, and like our package, theirs can beat the X car on any given day without breakdowns being a factor. If Polaris knew how little we will have spent this year to take away their championship in the SCORE series believe me, the pressure will be on. At the expense of the X team, Can-am enjoyed its first Baja win in San Felipe, including 2 podium positions to boot. That was followed by a convincing podium sweep at the IV 250. C'mon Joey, are you trying to say the pressure's not on?
Perhaps saying their "confidence has been rocked" is a poor choice of cliches', but if Matt, Brandon, or Craig tells you there is no more pressure than usual to perform well, well they're just lying to you!
I wonder what my friend to foe turnover ratio is now? Ha hee!
