SCORE Desert Challenge Results

So Marc did not complete all the laps, just like I counted.
Your count of laps, or opinion on whether or not the race was completed is not the official results. The official class results, and conclusion of the race was decided and published by SCORE. It is final, and is what will be used to determine the championship points for that event, as per paragraph #6 of the SCORE World Desert Championship 2014 Points System Policy. Again, period!

I was asking YOU how many laps did Marc complete. The answer is out there.

Actually its not.

It is a question asking for a specific answer.
I'm asking you "How many laps did Marc complete?"

You claim your all about sharing information.

PROVE IT!
If it's not retorical, then it is malicious, in which case I will entertain neither.

Per Judy Smith's article on RDC's front page it sounds like lap counts were a big snafu with SCORE as they lost their timing & Scoring system again, and had to go back to a manual system which also proved to be inaccurate.

http://www.race-dezert.com/home/sco...-a-bigger-challenge-than-expected-113907.html

"Timing and scoring had the same problem they’d had at the April event, in that their automated scoring system didn’t work, apparently because of the heavy dust. They had to resort to keeping track by hand. This resulted in some difficulty with lap counts on the first night, and at least one car was flagged in a lap early, then told to go out and do another, while some others went around an extra lap before being flagged in. In general, each team figured out how to keep track of their own laps, and that seemed to be the best solution to the problem."

This is not the first time Score has screwed up timing at a short course style event. We had this happen to us at Laughlin one year. They tried to stop us a lap early and my teammate was yelling at the flagman we had one more lap to do. The official insisted we were done. Meanwhile two other cars in our class were waved by to finish the last lap. We went from 1st to 3rd sitting at the finish-line. I told my teammate to just go and I would sort this out. After 20 minutes of arguing with Score and having to speak with them after the event at the hotel, they chose to give us 2 minutes back, and gave the two cars behind us 30 seconds each back, as they too complained they had to sit there waiting for us to get cleared. Long story short, we lost way more then two minutes and we lost the second days races by just over 5 minutes. BTW I also got scolded for telling my driver to just go and ignore the flagman, even thought I was right. They said next time they would DQ us for not listening to the flagman. Their answer to how they would have resolved it was to look at our lap times and give us an average for the lap missed.

How is my question being malicious?

You did not finish all the laps, you know you didn't, yet you take the finish points.

Sounds to me like you should have received a DNF.

How do the other racers feel about this?

Cory Sappington, JagedX, Murray Racing?

There is a Championship still to be won by someone.

The race is over and the teams and drivers are looking to the next race. There's no reason to dredge up the past. SCORE Made the results official, end of story. This isn't some flea market where you can bargain the results of a race.

Move on with your life.

Read my post above. Its very possible with all the timing & scoring issues, that Score Ops could have waved the checkers without knowing they had another lap. Or its possible Score timed everyone out, just trying to finish that race. If Score makes a timing error they cant penalize the team for it. So with all the scoring & timing issues this could be why you only saw them make X amount of laps, yet Score shows otherwise.

Mearsman pissoff!

I doubt there were issues keeping track of 5 UTV's and the dust was not bad at all during the UTV race.

I was just asking for clarification on what happened. Then it seamed like I was getting the run-a-round. When I go back and re-read BadAssMavs first answer "We raced until Score told us to stop" That was my answer, that they did not finish all the laps but SCORE told them to get off the track. Unfortunately I didn't comprehend that, and took it as a smart ass comeback. That is why I pushed the issue.

The purpose of your post is to discredit me or our efforts. That is malice. Your question is also rhetorical because you, by your own admission, were aware of the answer to your question before you ever asked it.

Look, I'm not going to take you through 4th grade English classes here. You and I both know the intent of your post. It's my guess that your garage does not house a Can-am. I'll repeat what you refuse to hear one more time. The Race Director, or a representative thereof, officially ended the race upon our arrival at the start finish line. Protestors have 1 hour from the time the checkered flag drops to protest another competitor, in writing, along with 500 bones to back their smack. If you want to talk controversy, talk about SCORE stopping the TT race after only 5 laps, with an inverted start! Potential finishing positions and points were affected there whereas we were the only car running when our race ended. But still here you are, making a mountain out of a mole hill, because you have an agenda. Please, don't insult my intelligence.

Just like we officially finished the race, I'm finished entertaining you and your nonsense.

Reid, put down your crack pipe and read my post above yours.
Simmer Down!

And yes the way the TT races were handled by everyone involved leaved a lot to be desired.

Go stir shit somewhere else. The race is over, and fyi Marc helped push a fellow competitor across the finish line when their car broke within eyesite of it
