Other scaling percentages on buggy

in dirt track car racing we scaled our cars out for better handling, earlier this year i discovered utv racing and haven't turned back LOL!, we have rear engined buggy that ways right at 1 time again more in the rear than it does in the front, so i'm lookin for a good base line to start with or a known baseline to get goin with, i would imagine that the R1 buggies and all have to be scaled so if anyone has any good advice please kick it in here! Thanks!

Well i guess you guys are right, it is a little off written, sorry about that .........but what we have is a rage type buggy with bike motor in the rear which is utv, around the same size as a honda pilot, what we are tryin to do is find out if anyone has a known percentage or balance on a set of scales that is optimal for these types of utv's, we endurance race them and also do some short course racin (3 miles), i guess to say, are they better on a 60/40 balance, 50/50 balance front to rear, any suggestions were open to hearing.

if your drive train is in the rear, 60/40 will be fine. tuning the suspension is most important, and sometimes difficult if one end is alot lighter than the other.

I think mine end up around 53R- 47F bias with me in it. the banana was almost 50-50 on the track before it was an R1 racer.

take alot of thinking and engineering to get 50-50 really, but does not necessarily need to be that if the car works well. Also, the lower all the weight is the better it will corner. ;)
