Ranger Crew Diesel

Killer RC

Well, I was about to buy a used 4 seater Rhino for the family, but I threw in an ebay bid on a 2012 Ranger Crew Diesel, not thinking I would actually win the auction. $10,600. So now I guess I'm a new Ranger owner. LOL. Gotta go pick it up in Corbin, KY. Hope it works good in the trails. I'm a little worried about the long wheel base getting hung up in the trails. Maybe some taller tires will help. Most of these are selling for $13k. Whats yur thoughts?

Nice ride! Is it new? If not how many miles on it?

That is a great price. We love our crew. Put a 2" lift and 28" tires on it and have had a blast. Took it to CO and crawled great. Handled the trails fine. My wife loves it out on the dunes too. Around the farm it is great we can pile people in. Party wagon. Enjoy.

Cool. Got any pics of it? Does the lift void the warranty? I'm thinking about getting the 5 yr warranty cuz I've heard a few issues, mainly with the gas 800 version tho.

This might give you a few ideas. It was built by Todd's Custom Billet.

Here is the only picture I have right now. I will try and get some additional pictures. These things are a blast. They will go more places than I thought full of passengers.

Pro lift a-arms and rear lift, 28" Baja, 14" DWT Sector wheels, Roof with radio, 30" E Rigid and 2 D2 lights, rear bumper, 4500 viper winch, windshield and removed the restrictor plate. So nothing but bolt ons really. Bought it to use around the ranch mostly. The wife had a 686 rhino and wanted the power steering. We are expecting a little on in December so the additional room will be handy as well. The thing is a beast and a blast to drive. Don't hardly get the Teryx out anymore. Which is sad.

Do you think the front seats need headrests? I wonder if anybody makes a cross bar that would bolt in there to add head rests?

Congrats on the baby. We've got 3 of em.

Thanks. Looks like you can use the same cross bars as the back seat if you wanted to add some head rests to the front. The head rests are going to block the back seat view. Pesonally I don't have a need for them.

I got my 2012 Diesel Crew, Demo with 71 miles on it, for $10,600 on Ebay. Corbin Powersports in Ky was great to deal with. Also got a 4500lb Polaris integrated winch kit for $600 and a 5 year warranty for $799.

It's great in the trails. My only complaints is the top speed, and the underside is not very well protected. I already had some sticks do some damage to the plastic floor, so I ordered a Trail Armor skid plate. The specs on the Polaris website says that it's 76 inches tall, but mine is around 73 inches, which is great cuz it will fit inside my enclosed trailer. The top speed is a little disappointing out on the open road, but on the trails its plenty fast. It seems like it actually likes climbing up hills better than it likes flat ground. It went everywhere that our quads could go. I never noticed any excessive engine heat like the 800 gassers. With the engine under the rear seat its easy for the people up front to talk to eachother. The storage under the front seat is enormous. You could fit a small person in there. The tilt steering wheel is nice. I filled up the tank and then drove 41 miles through mostly wooded trails, and the gas meter still shows full. It hasn't even dropped one bar yet. LOL. If we can find a way to get a few more MPH out of the engine I think this thing will be perfect.
