RACE INJURIES!

Had a good friend end up in the hospital last week due to a race injury. You can follow a thread on race-dezert about cages, neck restraints. I have seen many utv racers not wearing neck restraints, It takes maybe a race or two to get used to, but it sure beats a broken neck. Be Safe!

Yeah, praying for a speedy recovery for Greg. I had a bad crash last New Years in glamis where my cage failed in 2 areas. I'm thankful I had the cage on that I did or it would have been a lot worse.

so true! I just invested in a good head and neck restraint yesterday, I have been lucky and it only takes one time

actually i was gonna ask you guys about cage safety. i was telling the wife the stock cage on the t4 is for show, and light trail rides. or light roll over. so i talked to the rep at SDR at the offroad expo. do all of you ditch your stock cage right away?

hope for a speedy recovery for greg.

I did, my T-4 cage started unbolting itself on its first trip out, it was removed and replaced before the second trip. I dont trust any stock cage, they build them to a industrial standard with shipping and packaging being a major consideration, not safety.

Thanks. It hits home with me as we've had some pretty serious injuries here and have always used the best safety equipment. I credit the safety equip with saving my sons life, and I'm glad we had it.

Sounds like there's going to be a full recovery. How fortunate! It's good to hear positive outcomes, especially this time of year.

I too am glad I had the safety equipment, harnesses and cage put on before my New Years crash. I believe it saved my life and my friend's life who was riding with me. A destroyed cage is much better than shattered lives.
