Official UTVUnderground 2013 Baja 1000 UPDATES

Aren't any of you guys home with a tracker open??? lol were stuck with no way to track now. We haven't heard from anyone

Joey, right now it is showing Matt Parks leading at RM650, followed by Cory Sappington at RM635. The tracker is hanging up, last update for 1933 was almost 2 hours ago, so they should be somewhere close behind Cory. 4th is Kevin Fuller in the 1948 Arctic Cat.
But somewhere in there is Scott Kiger in the 1937 car. His last update was over 3 hours ago.
Tell Roger this tracking system sucks bigtime. I know everyone complained about the expense and such of the past trackers, but at least they updated regularly.
As it updates, I'll post up what it's showing...

Here you go, fresh out of the oven, BTW 1908 Lambert ii right under 1934's icon.

Only problem is, many of those markers haven't updated in 2 to 3 hours... so actual position is unkown.
Best we can see is that the running order is Matt Parks (1932), Cory Sappington (1904), Scott Kiger (1934), and then either Kevin Fuller (1948) or Todd Romano/Hans Waage (1933)...
Until we have eyes on the ground, we won't know.

1908, 1930, 1934 show 3+ hours behind, rest show within the last 2 minutes as of 7:54am. Its as good as Spot Tracker is going to get and something to look at while we wait. Better than nothing.

EDIT, my references to time are strictly related to Spot Tracker updating/refreshing their tracking screen.

At 7:52am 1932 56mph @ rm672

At 8:08am 1904 25mph @ rm654

At 8:00am 1948 20mph @ rm600

At 8:03am 1908 24mph @ rm583

At 8:07am 1930 47mph @ rm576

At 7:49am 1945 0mph @ rm571

At 4:01am 1934 23mph @ rm552

At 8:07am 1901 0mph @ rm545

Around 4 or 5am 1934 was only 10-15 miles back from 1932. Both cars were updated close. So if 1934 kept that pace, they should be second on the road.

The tracking system is not all that reliable. Good to keep general tabs on the race but not good for real time updates.

At 10:05a MST (9a PST) My tracker shows the Jagged 1932 with a sizeable lead at RM 713.4 and the Can Am 1904 about 40 miles or so back at RM 669.1. In third place the tracker is showing the 1948 at RM 622. The other cars are showing well back but have not been updated in awhile so could be closer?

It looks like the early and mid race leader 1933 is broke as they have not moved their position since about 6a. If the 1932 can stay lucky and patient it looks like they will be able to cruise to the finish line and win the SCORE championship.

A race broke out!

Holz Racing Products We are physically in the lead with 9 minutes over Matt Parks. Not sure on corrected time. Mark Holz says the car is working great. When he got in for his driving duties at mile 550 they did a bit of preventative work on the car. We should be getting updates more regularly as the team has cell coverage.

Cool, finally an update on the car. Guess that 5+ hour lack of updates on tracking made a difference.
I hope the same is said for the 1933 car, since it hasn't updated in a few hours either...
Don't trust the spot trackers...

Baja 1K Update: Holz Racing's Scott Kiger (1934 Polaris) is reporting in with a 9 minute lead over Matt Park (1932 Polaris). Cory Sappington (1904 Can Am) is bringing up 3rd and Kevin Fuller (1948 Arctic Cat) appears to be in 4th. Sean Cook (1930 Polaris) looks to be in 5th, but his tracker hasn't updated in the last hour or so, which shows him in 6th then.
1945 Scolman is out of the race. His car is parked at RM571, but was trailered there from RM352.
Hans Waage/Todd Romano (1933 Arctic Cat) is moving again at RM537.

All trackers just updated
Running order is:
1934 Leading at RM737
1932 in 2nd at RM735
1904 in 3rd at RM700
1948 in 4th at RM635
1930 in 5th at RM620
1908 in 6th at RM596 (sitting still)
1907 in 7th at RM568 (sitting still)
1901 in 8th at RM553
1947 in 9th at RM543 (sitting still)
1933 in 10th at RM540

RJ Anderson in the Holz Car is fighting for the lead with Beau Baron in the Jagged X car.

Hhhhhmmmmmm....

Both are Holz Worcs drivers...fighting for the win at the Baja 1000.

Holz Racing Products - We are on the last 80 miles of this years Baja 1000 with a 25 mile lead over the 1932 car of Matt Parks.

Except for the loss of Kurt it was a great race. Congrats to all that participated and to the ones that helped us keep up to date on the tracking.
Now its time to shut this computer down and give it a rest.
I'm out.
